    I like those pilots who fly the airbus with autothrust off on final approach. Ofcourse in suitable conditions.

  • @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    Жыл бұрын

    The Airbus company even recommends the use of autothrust during all phases of flight. This includes the manual flying part during all approaches. On the other hand, every Airbus pilot needs to be able to fly with manual thrust any time. So some approaches with manual thrust need to be made to stay proficient.

  • @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    2 жыл бұрын

    Das ist korrekt. Es kommt sehr häufig an vielen Flughäfen vor. Wir fliegen dann die angewiesene Geschwindigkeit solange es geht und reduzieren auf etwa S-Speed mit dem Intercept des Glideslopes. Der Lotse weiß, dass wir nicht mit 210 Knoten bis zur Landung fliegen können und erwartet eine entsprechende Geschwindigkeitsreduktion. Bei enger Staffelung weisen wir den Lotsen aktiv darauf hin, wenn wir die Geschwindigkeit weiter reduzieren müssen. Im Idealfall wird die Geschwindigkeitsvorgabe vom Lotsen mit "fly own speed" oder "reduce speed xxx knots" oder aufgehoben bzw. angepasst.

    Vielen Dank fürs guts Feedback! Alles was mit den vorgegebenen Procedures zu tun hat, ist in englischer Sprache publiziert: Handbücher, Checklisten, Callouts u.s.w. Auch im Funk wird ausschließlich Englisch gesprochen. Ob die Crews darüber hinaus untereinander Englisch oder Deutsch sprechen, können sie selbst entscheiden, solange sie der deutschen Sprache mächtig sind.

    Hallo Chris, vielen Dank fürs gute Feedback! Ja, es ist korrekt: Die Message kam vom CPDLC-Sytem (Controller Pilot Datalink Communications). Während des Fluges hatten wir CPDLC benutzt. Im Anflug war das dann eigentlich schon beendet und die Kommunikation erfolgte ausschließlich per Sprache. Das CPDLC-System hat dann trotzdem nochmal versucht, sich neu zu verbinden und sich dann noch mal mit dem Hinweis gemeldet, dass die Verbindung nicht mehr besteht.

    Super Video, wie immer! Was genau wird denn beim VLS Check gemacht?

  • @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    @ApproachandDepartureVideos

    2 жыл бұрын

    VLS ist die lowest selectable speed. Sie basiert auf dem aktuellen Gewicht des Fliegers. Das wiederum kann ausgerechnet werden auf Basis unseres Ladeplans plus den Sprit. Das tut das Flightmanagement-System und zeigt eine entsprechende Geschwindigkeit in der MCDU, das ist die Anzeige mit den vielen Tasten rechts vom Kapitän und links vom Copiloten, an. Sie wird als Basis für die Kalkulation der Anflug- Geschwindigkeit genommen. Eine zweite Rechnung führt der Airbus aufgrund aerodynamischer Daten durch. Dieses errechnete Gewicht ist die Basis für dis Anzeige der VLS im Speedtape neben dem künstlichen Horizont. Wir vergleichen im Anflug die beiden Geschwindigkeiten. Falls die aerodynamisch errechnete höher ist, erhöhen wir die Anflug- Geschwindigkeit entsprechend.

    Thanks for watching and for your question. During the approach, as long as the autothrust is used, the thrust levers are placed in the CLB detent. During the flare, moments prior touchdown, the thrust levers are placed in the IDLE detent.
