It is not a gated community. They are islands with public roads. They have security because it is exclusive; however, you are allowed to drive on the roads as long as you do not drive on anyone's property or get out of the vehicle. You can drive up to the gate and they will just tell you that and let you in. I have gone there and just go to the gate and say "Hi, can I drive thru?" And they will say, sure, don't get out of the car or drive on anyone's property.

That's because it just rained. My father has a friend that we visit occasionally that lives in that neighborhood, and it's not like that at all. There's usually security patrolling the area 24/7, and private landscape companies maintaining the neighborhood about two times a week. I'm not sure now, but they probably come more often.
