    I believe that it isn't just fitness you need for this job. From my perspective, as one who is considering it and having dealt with pallets during overnight shift at a grocery store, that you need to be fit, tempered, and definitely determined to keep up such laboring work.

    This is so weird to see that you have to have a separate device just for that. We use some older variant of the jungheinrich ece series low level order picker and the forks on those go up to waist/stomach height so we dont need this thing. and offloading the pallet is also way easier

  • @RoMinimalist
    @RoMinimalist2 ай бұрын

    2:10 😂 now he's picking of the floor and lifting onto the pallet. It's only convenient when the load happens to be in the same hight. But when i see this, it makes no sense to lift it onto a "to high" platform. I can see some practical use for it, but for most warehouses i used to work at, this would only slow me down in my work.

    as a Pepsi warehouse loader we’ve been saying this for years and the company has yet to listen. they continue to buy more walkie riders and transition to GEObox trucks when it would be easier to keep using route/bay trucks and buy more forklifts so we don’t have to wait for replen on pick aisles and we can load trucks ourselves

    @@mjohnson5716 the pay varies, I’m live in South Florida and out of the 4 warehouses down here. I work at the highest paying one at $21 per hour. The one in medley (Miami) pay 17.50. While the other two pays less BUT it’s a Union. I’m a picker (build pallets) and out of my 10 year work experience, it’s hands down the most physical job I have ever worked. I’ve been an athlete my while life. One shift doesn’t even compare to my most intense workouts lol. I’m covered in sweat head to toe so much that my thick work pants stick to my legs. If all of that doesn’t bother you, give it a try. Weekly pay with weekly performance incentives.
