I try to imagine all the fun kids from the 60's had with these toys.

So many good childhood memories came flooding back upon watching this, like the Christmas morning I received The Gargon (which I've still got & I will never be parted) from my Grandmother, many thanks for posting :-)

Interesting 1979 there were still some of the old classic outfits in release - I'd say 79 was one of finest for Action Man. Thanks for sharing

Really cool to see all those pre-production uniforms, i have all but 2 of those outfits shown although there are a couple i have that i do need to obtain the odd piece for! Thanks for uploading Tony ;)

I still have a few bits from this catalogue...the orange rubber diving suit hasn't faired that well... xD ..around this time we also had an Action Man Glider...it was a real pain to launch but was quite an impressive beast in flight. :) ...cool videos.

Born in 1971, I have a vintage toy collection from GI Joe, Star Wars, He-Man, Six Million Dollar, Mego and etc. I have never collected a single Action Man but will add one to my collection soon. Great video, I've never seen a trade catalogue. The rubber suits on the space rangers are interesting, prototypes? Also the truck at 2:13 is a new one on me.

grimmyx22 yes they’re all prototypes. The space rangers are in fact, solid plastic moulded figures which were photographed before Palitoy had begun producing the rubber suits.

grimmyx22 Well as far as i know, that prototype truck is as far as it got and was never produced as a toy. If it had of been, i'd certainly have 1 in my collection by now. ;) some lucky fella might have that prototype, how cool would it be to own that?
