I bought a PF lip crayon, that I thought I would hate. But I love it and I'm surprised by that! Dark & vampy...it makes my teeth look so white! (coffee, smoker...I know the shame) No to that box tho.

That physicians formula looks like it would be great for young teen girls who are just getting into makeup. It's OK-good quality and nice natural shades.

I don't know who Kristen L is, and I have nothing against that pallet, but I dislike pallets that play with shapes only because the arrangement makes me notice how much product I am missing out on. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH EMPTY SPACE? It's not like the product is any cheaper than normal items (from the partnered brand). I would never overpay for less product.

I can safely say that I have none of these regrets LOL My regrets tend to be for the eye shadow palettes I didnt get!! ........... Im looking at you Melt Muerte LOL

You can probably find the Muerte palette on poshmark, mercari, or Depop! Only issue is it may be upcharged or not brand new.

Yeah, me too. I know blue and dark colors in general don't flatter me, which is why I only bought the Vida. But there's a sad voice in the back of my head saying, "You'll never be able to connect the palettes."

I CRIED LAUGHING WHILE WATCHING THIS !!! ur voice and sense of humour is so comforting- im sticking around!

Dang, that Jacob & Eli Peach palette is exactly what I've been looking for - a peachy palette that isn't scented, doesn't have other random colors like royal blue or dark purple that I wouldn't use. Looks like it's no longer made though. Sad!

Your eye makeup is stunning! Also, you can sell these palettes on Depop whether used or unused and they only take 10% as opposed to 20% like Poshmark and Mercari

La Douce means, sweet or sweetness. When I see that palette I think about the little French macaroons. I like it.

for the douce palette, I would try a cut crease with the magenta purple in the crease blended out into the bubble gum pink, with the green shimmer on the lid, the white/purple duochrome as an inner corner highlight, and the chocolate brown under your eye and smoked out wings. I hope that makes sense. I have that palette too but it's one of my favorites lol it makes really great minty/pinky, kind of lolita ice cream shop looks. It's distinctive and difficult to describe at the same time. I think Juvias place has really poetic and innovative color stories. they inspire me.

Imo it’s infuriating when companies photoshop their makeup products to make them look brighter/smoother/sparklier/whateveier than they are in reality. Super shady 🙅🏻‍♀️

I started sending all of the neutral palettes I get in Boxycharm and etc to a friend. I don't wear neutrals. I can swatch them, then spray with alcohol, and my bud can still use them. Shelters won't take unsealed makeup, ever. There's no way to 100% ensure the safety, so someone could potentially sue the shelter for getting an eye infection from a used palette, for example.

There is a company online that will take them clean them and pass them on. I think its called project bueaty. Maybe work with them and see what they can take. Or find some friends with daughter's who could really enjoy them.

@@rachelthorne9767 yes, they did previously take certain gently used products that could be reasonably sanitized - pressed powder products, pencil liners, etc - but as w/ so much else Covid has changed things. Hopefully at some point they’ll be able to again but it won’t be anytime soon.

For the Douce palette - whenever I'm stuck for ideas on what to do with a colour story, I search the palette hashtag on instagram. There's always tons of pictures of different looks that people create! I checked, and the Douce tag has 1000+ posts with lots of pretty looks (juviasplacedoucepalette) I received that Hank and Henry palette in my boxycharm - I ended up giving it to my daughter lol. Their liquid liner is SO good, but their palettes have yet to impress me.

Thanks for the IG idea! I have this palette, and it helped me to swatch the colors on paper, rearranging their color story from light to dark, and then just grabbing wipes and finger-painting different eye looks right below the swatches so I can pull out that sheet and look at which combos I like. Helps me to deconstruct a troublesome palette and reconstruct it in a way that works for me. Good luck!

I’ve come to regret every monochromatic palette I’ve ever bought- they just do not inspire me at all and I just don’t like mixing and matching palettes. So now I’m not allowed to buy monochromatic palettes anymore lol. Only palettes with some versatility.

I live in russia and I don't have a lot of money to burn on makeup, so I really like using russian local "poshmark" to get slightly used stuff with a big discount. Still sometimes I buy makeup that I regret later. For example, I regret getting LimeCrime Venus XL II. The formula is really not what I thought it would be. Also I regret "Lolita por vida" by KVD. It's just uninspiring to me and I don't know why.

Same. I never reached for it and got it because it was so hyped up. I just couldn't love it. I realize I'm not reaching for most of those colors on a daily. I'm way more basic than that. I hated the packaging too. I prefer quads from Tom Ford, Chanel, or Charlotte Tilbury. Not so overwhelming, better formula, and gorgeous package.

Donating any unused makeup would be a good idea! (Ps, your makeup always looks so cute!)

I picked up the Naked 3 years ago and I hated the formula. I've never looked at Urban Decay since. Their vibe just doesn't appeal to me either.

That all in one situation was hilarious because I just got me one and have yet to use it. 😂😂😂

You could always depot the Juvias shades so you won't have to see them in a palette, that is of course if you really do love the colors individually

For the Juvias Place The Douce palette, I ran into exactly the same challenges. The trick is to swatch them. The colors swatches look totally different than on the pan - not sure if it’s duo chromes or what but each has a twist. And, they are surprisingly good together. I 100% agree with you on BH Cosmetics. Tiny pans.
