Beautiful culture and wedding! Before I met a Palestinian co-worker I didn't know anything about this beautiful people instead I was blinded with ignorance and disliked them without knowing them because of the negative image on media sided by Israel as I felt it was my Christian duty to always love Israel the holy Land but didn't need to dislike them that was ignorant. My Palestinian co-worker is the most nicest and loving person and a beautiful human being and I have never met someone so genuine. Beautiful people

Thank you for being nice and honest. We need people like you to stand with us now more than ever. The whole world is standing against us and even our own Arab leaders are hypocrites and now they want us to accept peace agreement that give us no rights at all. That’s why now the media is against us and we will stay strong. But we need your voices to spread to as many people. Christinas in the west are ignorant and don’t know that we love Jesus more then the Jews. And that 20% of our people are Christians

Lovely to see the candle dance, "Etmakhtari ya helwa, ya zeyna." I wonder about the pinning of gold items to a ribbon around the bride's neck, if anyone can explain that tradition. I have never seen that.

Hi! I'm sorry I've just seen this. The ribbon is velvet material, it's a tradition the brides family does to gift her with jewelry instead of money. The coins are a type of jewelry we wear. So they pin it to the material and its a necklace, theres other options of jewelry to gift but this type carries more tradition.

Thank you so much! Now I know. I made a video of the candle dance at a friend's wedding in Michigan. They are from Galilee, a village called Mi'ilya, they are all Melkite Catholics. The video is called "Candle dance Etmakhtari ya helwa ya zena." All my best friends and my brother-in-law, who is from Ramallah, are Palestinian, the best people in the world! Mashallah Wallah!
