I one-hundred percent agree with the conclusion that the way Palestinians and Palestinian suffering is ignored, trivialized or minimized in many media outlets is down to racism. Islamophobia and anti-Arab bigotry have become the only socially acceptable forms of racism in many Western countries.

I just have to remark that I always love Katie's "whoa whoa whoa whoa calm down, man!" intro from Genocide Joe. It's perfect.

They wanted sympathy from the world so they invented this identity of being originally from the Palestinian area. It’s not particularly interesting or significant that “Israel” contains the letters for “liars.” There are only 26 letters in the English alphabet, and with six letters, you can form 720 different five-letter combinations. Given this large number of combinations, it’s statistically expected that some of these will form recognizable words. Hence, seeing a word like “liars” in the letters of “Israel” is just a coincidence and not indicative of any deeper meaning. A psychologist would call that “magical thinking”.

Someone doing the magical thinking in the other direction would probably use the word “arise” or “laser” and think it’s about the Iron Dome. You can do that all day with any words. Same with the Bible code book that was out a while back.

Here's the israel that quran mentions: The name Israel is derived from the Hebrew words, "yisra," which means to struggle, and "el," which is short-hand for "God," or "Elohim." Thus it can be interpreted as someone who struggles with God. Source: sheknows -> israel It was a person's name. Not of cities or kingdoms or nations. The use of israel as place's name is a modern thing.
