It's an imaginary village for economics as it mostly talks about the scarcity of resources and poverty whereas in reality it is beautiful. It indeed is an imaginary village there, just shares the same name.

In the year 2016, I went to this beautiful place Palampur, it is a very beautiful place. I remember this journey even today. Wish I got a chance to go here again.

I am from palampur I've come across so many ppl who believe that our palampur is the place described in class 9 economics NCERT book , lemme tell ya'll that was a hypothetical place described in the book which was only and only meant for educational purpose , our palampur is a whole different place , stop underrating it !
