Palace of the Parliament (House of the People), Sector 5 | Bucharest
The Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, Romania (known before the 1989 revolution as the House of the Republic or the House of the People), measures 270 m by 240 m, 84 m high, and 92 m underground made in the spirit of socialist realist architecture.[3] It has 9 levels on the surface and another 9 underground. According to the World Records Academy, the Palace of Parliament is the third largest administrative building for civil use by area in the world, the most expensive administrative building in the world, and the heaviest building in the world.

The Palace of Parliament building is located in the central part of Bucharest (sector 5), on the place that today is called Arsenal Hill, framed by Izvor street to the west and northwest, Bulevardul Naționile Unite to the north, Bulevardul Libertății to the east and Calea 13 Septembrie to south. It is 10 minutes away from Unirii Square and 20 minutes from the North Railway Station.
The hill on which the Palace of Parliament stands today is generally a creation of nature, having an original height of 18 m, but the side facing Libertății Boulevard is artificially elevated.

Multumesc frumos. Noroc cu vechiul sistem, ca a construit mult, asta nu a fost in stare nici macar sa preia ceva, doar sa vanda si sa distruga, dau din gura si cam atat.

Such an beautiful structure, the size is so impressive, I know Bucharest is a historic city, but I dont have a mental pictures of buildings of it like other historic European cities. Thank you for introducing me 🥰🥰🤗
