Dear Harish, The half-broken needs to be checked with an x-ray so that we need to rule out the nerve involvement. If it is involved you may require a root canal and a crown. If not, tooth coloured fillings can make you get back your teeth to their original shape and colour. All the best!

Dear Mr. Jagadishwaran, It is definitely not advisable for replacing a wisdom tooth by any means, leave alone implants. Implants are commonly advised only upto the second Molar (The tooth one before the wisdom tooth). Have a good day!

Hi Raja! A fractured tooth if fractured above the gum level, we can try a root canal treatment and with the help of post and core, we can give a crown without extracting the tooth. At times, the implant may be very stable, and hence the doctor might be able to give crown immediately also.It is definitely not wrong. In fact we do treatments where immediately the crown is also given. Depends on bone quality, quantity and the implant stability

Dear Arun Crowns are usually fixed with permanent cements and it is very difficult to remove if properly done. So do not worry. Implants are only done in such case if the tooth cannot be saved by any means or if it is fractured. Never remove a good teeth for implants and always preserve natural teeth. Thank you! But dentures will definitely cause bone resoeption and post 5 to 10 years, they become loose and warrant additional procedures time and again. And at times, due to bone loss due to dentures, implants may also not be an option. God bless!

I had done teeth bridge 4years before doctor... Now I have pain in that which is often while eating ....what can I do for that

Dear Ms. Mangayarkarasi! Usually a bridge can be done with or without a root canal of the supporting teeth. We will need to know the status of the supporting teeth. This can be easily found by taking a simple xray of the teeth. If root canal was not done , or if it is a failing root canal, we can still correct it. Dear Arun! If the patient does not have any medical issues, and has sufficient bone, Implants are always the best treatment to do.

Going for an implant is the best option. And always replace any removed teeth immediately. The implant also is like your natural teeth, you will have to maintain it properly. Dear Kalpana At times, when a bridge is not properly done, there could be infection that develops in the tooth that holds the bridge. This can be easily sorted with root canal treatment. But before you decide on getting a bridge done, always consider implants in future to avoid such issues.

Dear Jeeva Radha Implant placement is done usually with a minimally invasive procedure. And it is simpler than an extraction of tooth. Usually only you will have mild pain which will last for about a week or so.

Dear Velu! We really need to identify why the tooth is shaky. A simple clinical examination and X-ray will help. Once the cause is known, it can be fixed. Dear Cynthia Cost of implant depends on the quality of bone , quantity of bone, depends on the type of crown as well and also on any associated surgeries done.
