India has been launching satellites through own rockets since start of 80's. INSAT series satellites were launched for meteorological monitoring. India has its own communication satellites since long. We have our own version of GPS too.

The Ariane Passenger Payload Experiment (APPLE) was ISRO's first indigenous, experimental communication satellite. It was launched into GTO (Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit) (Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit) by the third development flight of ESA'a Ariane vehicle from Kourou on June 19, 1981. ISRO has established a regional navigation satellite system called Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC). NavIC was erstwhile known as Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS). NavIC is designed with a constellation of 7 satellites and a network of ground stations operating 24 x 7. Three satellites of the constellation are placed in geostationary orbit, at 32.5°E, 83°E and 129.5°E respectively, and four satellites are placed in inclined geosynchronous orbit with equatorial crossing of 55°E and 111.75°E respectively, with inclination of 29° (two satellites in each plane). The ground network consists of control centre, precise timing facility, range and integrity monitoring stations, two-way ranging stations, etc.

Syed Muzammil's videos are really good, well researched. Accepting the truth is the first step towards any change that one may want to see in a society. What Ataturk told the Turks, Sir Syed told the Muslims of the subcontinent. He told them to embrace Western education but he was ridiculed, fatwas were issued against him. Mullahs said there was nothing to learn from these kafirs and that everything was there in their Holy Book. Muslim mind has ossified over the past several centuries. For this to change, the subcontinent needs another Ataturk. It is sad to note that even the Muslims in India, barring a few, are not open to modern education and come under the sway of the mullahs easily.

@@amithanda4934 it's just a nice story story there were many pro business voices in the Indian independence movement C rajgopalachari, Patel, VOP Pillai also congress was entirely funded by Indian buisnesses(Birlas being the foremost). It's just that Nehru brutally took over the party and made it a fabian socialist party. The saddest part of this whole affair is that young generation like yourself have bought this story. Read more on other congress leaders and even ambedkar and you will see how capitalist they were.

Yes one can argue economy could have been opened abit earlier than 90's but even then there was a lot scepticism about it...
