Imam,you are right. Sambalpuri textile is from Odisha and the dance form has been shown in tableau is also Sambalpuri.The dancers have wore sambalpuri sarees.

Punjab, Sikkim, Goa, Uttarakhand, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Karnataka and many other states tableau were rejected as they did not depicted the theme of "Women Empowerment". there are 28 states and less than 20 were shown. These tableaus are created by each states and presented to the republic day organizing committee which then accept or rejects based on the theme and other aspects.

Every state get a chance to showcase their culture or theme based tabluae in every 3 years ...Not every year and only Karnatak govt failed to show them theme based tabluae 15 days ago...... Be update
