I am from Karnataka, Mysore Zoo is one of the best Zoos in India, Nowadays most of the Birds & Animals are sponsored by either well-known individuals or Corporate/Private companies. Also, the Zoo management is top-notch. If you decide to cover by walk you fell tired once you finish the entire premises during the hot sun, other options like battery-powered cars & small buses are also available. The entrance of the Zoo is very good.

I visited dis Mysore zoo...it was awesome..so clean . healthy animals..every closet was so clean..taken gud care of them.i was impressed...hatts off to Karnataka govt...

Am from Mysuru. Paradise on Earth. Zoo is 4kms from my place of stay. My friend, an avid animal lover, was holding a high post in the Zoo administration. Once he took me around, explaining even the most minute details of every bird and animal. It was fantastic. The most amazing part of that experience was that every bird and animal responded to his call. A few of them even emulated the noise and sound he made. Even tigers and lions obeyed his orders. The animals loved him as much as he loved them. I still remember his words that zoos are not places of entertainment, rather a place to study about nature and its beauty. He remained a bachelor, because he trusted animals more than human beings. He would spend most of his time inside the zoo He was 60+ when I met him 10 years back.. I saw him a few times, in his traditional white kurta pyjama and canvas shoes walking briskly from home to zoo, and back, as is his routine. I couldn't speak, as I was travelling by bus. Hope he is hale and healthy.

Mysuru zoo is very good and I have visited it. The Chennai zoo at Vandalur is much bigger and has a bigger collection of animals too. Injured animals, man eater tigers are sent to Mysuru as it has good medical facilities. Recently a man eater tiger with injuries was caught in the Nilgiris Tamil Nadu and sent to Mysuru where it was treated and became normal. Great people.

India is country of tigers and this lions and tiger are not like Pakistani lion or tigers in bad condition.but I pray every animal live happy and healthy life...

Iam from Kerala. My favourite city.

Animals of Mysore Zoo and there maintenance like food, health etc have been look after by the sponsorers like big business man's, film actors and cricketers and other celebrities will adopt these animal's and spending money on there maintenance.
