Pakistan failed to qualify - who is responsible? Am sure everyone will agree that PCB is responsible. The cricketing structure is totally in disarray. If you have given the responsibility as Captain to Shaheen Afiridi, you should have given him at least couple of years to prove his worth. You decided to change the Captaincy and gave it to Babar Azam despite the fact that he did not do well as a captain and as a batsman. First is your opening batsmen, who could not use the first six overs and a very weak middle order batting and lack of all rounders. Again your bowling performance is not consistent. This time you were lucky - New York pitch helped you. Fitness is another issue that your team tried to avoid. Strict diet adherence was missing in every player. There were lots of noise from your side 'We will beat India easily this time and India is weak against pace bowling of Pakistan, etc. " What happened? It turned around and you had to face the hostile bowling of Bumrah, who did everything right and never talked about it before or after the matches. Because of your over confidence, it created a sense of fear in your players when they actually faced India. What will happen even if we fail against India - that is the fear that got into your players weakening their performance in a real situation. Harris Rauf keeps saying that he could blow the Indian team out. Such statements do not help the team to overcome critical matches. Again the fear erupts. That is what happened when Pakistan could not cross over 120 runs in 20 overs (run a ball). Babar Azam is a good player, no doubt about it, but does he fit into T20 cricket - no way. He is often compared with Kohli. Kohli is the finisher in almost every match India is chasing a huge total. India won most of the matches because of his contribution while chasing. How ofen Babar Azam played that role as a finisher. He scores around 30 - 40 runs and when the time comes for him to take his team to the pole, he fails miserably. There is a big difference between Kohli and Babar - Kohli paces his innings beautifully - starting at a scoring rate of 6 runs an over, and in the middle and at the finish, his scoring rate improves considerably - scoring 50 runs in 20-21 balls. Babar fails to score sixes, whereas Kohli does it quite often scoring sixes. Kohli is one of the best finishers in the world and am sure even Pakistanis would agree. The time is ripe for the PCB to dissolve the entire team and start afresh with young players, who have done well in domestic matches. Give them incentives and train them properly to play for the country and not to improve their personal statistics. All eleven should focus on winning an ICC trophy. I always admire Pakistani players - Wasim Akram - I met him personally and took a picture with him in Dubai, Waqar Younis, Inzi, Javed, Rawalpindi Express, Younis Khan, Saqlan, and so many of them. They were all very good and gave their best for Pakistan. As an Indian, I want Pakistanis to do well and continue their journey as a team to play against. Insha Allah, Pakistan will raise from ashes and prove themselves as a winning team.
