Faisalabad was restructured into city district status; a devolution promulgated by the 2001 local government ordinance (LGO). The total area of Faisalabad District is 5,856 km2 (2,261 sq mi)[6] while the area controlled by the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) is 1,280 km2 (490 sq mi).[7][8]: 8 Faisalabad has grown to become a major industrial and distribution centre because of its central location in the region and connecting roads, rails, and air transportation.[9] It has been referred to as the "Manchester of Pakistan".[10][11] As of 2013, GDP (PPP) of Faisalabad was estimated as $43 billion[5] and projected to rise to $87 billion in 2025 at a growth rate of 5.7%.[12] Faisalabad contributes over 10 percent to the Punjab's GDP and has an average annual GDP (nominal) of $20.5 billion.[5] Agriculture and industry remain its hallmark

Ι have visited many places in Pakistan with my husband many years before for bussiness and in free time we were travelling to see this beautiful country, full of coloures and smells.Very good people , friendly and hospitable. I think i was very lucky for visiting this country and i want to go again.The best ice cream in my life, the best and the most spicy food, fantastic fruits and fabrics for women.I wish to go again

I've been there more than two years 2011-2013 in Govt Islamia Collage Faisalabad (Sargodha Road) .... Peoples are polite there , always keep cares about pedestrians and cleanliness much better than my own cities Lodhran & Bahawalpur

Every time i see Pakistani and Bangladeshi vlogs, i wonder why the presence of women in the workforce is so low? I didn't find any women working or trading on the video. There are no women hotel receptionists, women street vendors, women restaurant waiters or women riding motorbikes in these two countries.😂
When they see u all men stop n stare ,like fist time seeing a woman all their woman are covered up so they don't know what a pretty girl looks like ,thy have been deprived of beauty it's sad....

Many shopkeepers were saying come and shop at our shop Sister. They usually refer to lady shoppers as Sister, out of respect.
