Yes Sachin was not even 10% of De Silva but de Silva missed 90% of Sachin. Silva got a better team in his era. Remember 96 WC final. Sachin 65 out 120 total team score. Team matters a lot.

You do know that was because of the dew ? And even though de silva was a classy player..De silva had a poor record at Australia and South Africa..how can you compare him to Sachin, when in the 90s Sachin was literally a one man army ...if he was out the whole team was out..De Silva had Jayasuriya, Kalu, Gurusingha, Ranatunga with him..even Tilekaratne..that was a formidable middle order..still they failed spectacularly in English conditions and even in Australia..

Look how every time a wicket fells a pakistani fielder starts working on the ball. Thats how they used to reverse the ball and won so many matches. When the rules changed two new balls were introduced and after every wicket and over ball was to be submitted to the umpire, pakistanis failed to win matches. Balls could still be reversed but pakistani bowlers who were used to get a prestigious reverse swing up to the width of 5 stumps were not been able to use it to their advantage. Other teams such as england, south Africa, Australia and India use this little bit of reverse swing far better now. Remember that test match in south africa where dale steyn ripped through aussies just because that ball was made by faf duplesis. He rubbed it on the side zip of his trousers. Seeing this in the next match Australia tried to temper with the ball but was caught red handed.
