This guy is either naïve or thinks he's too smart. He is saying that India has created perception to world as if the world leaders are dumb and they don't have the ability to think what is correct or wrong. The world has come to this so called perception based on long history of Pakistan's dual role in terrorism, nuclear proliferation, deep state, military's role in creating terror outfits for strategic depth, hiding Osama bin laden and the Pakistani's role in terror attacks in their countries. Pakistan is thinking that world has forgot all these previous incidents. If this guy thinks that by creating one English channel, speaking with good English can able to build narrative or change world's perception then it's waste of hard earned begging money. Countries build perception based on facts not on cooked stories.

If appeasing the world (including hostile nations) all the time and shouting peace peace and peace is gonna be our policy in the future then have to say we are again proving to be very naive people, shooting ourselves in the foot and failing to understand the art to live in this world with dignity. World will exploit us even more. I really hope that's not gonna be a policy and we have a think tanker who's thinking better for Pakistan instead of willing to fold in the feet of west and the entire world

Great interview. Far better than the one with DG ISPR where Najma wasn't as aggressive as she is in this one. Dr Moeed too, is very frank and gave brilliant answers. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Why hasn't Pakistani Government been able to control food prices in Pakistan What about Sugar and Gandum and other Food Prices in Pakistan Why are Common Pakistani Citizens not able to afford proper housing or food... What about the Electricity Crisis in Pakistan..... Who is Responsible for all this ??? it's very easy to blame another Nation for your own faults and Corruption.If Pakistan Focuses on Fixes its own Problems then there wouldn't be much trouble. From the adeptness and eloquence with which he responds to the incisive and provocative line of questioning, I can discern that the aggressive Reporter is dealing with an extremely intelligent personage. Well educated, informed and learned persona, who is guarded and cautious of not revealing secrets, that could come back and bite them. That’s his handicap. The man is truthful and knowledgeable. But the occupational hazards deter him to be more explicit. He befits the post he holds. I appreciate and applaud his ability.

If Mike Pompeo can become Secretary of State from a CIA background, this guy should become our foreign minister. SMQ is gaffe-prone because he doesnt understand the nuances of the international audience. He's better suited to the role of information minister.

Pakistan really needs a fully English based channel like TRT World or Al Jazeera in order to reach out to the world and put its perspective forward.

What Moeed isn't saying in the very first part of the interview is that Pakistan's has a credibility & image issue thanks to "investments on Nawaz Sharif" that made Pakistan's POV to world ineffective but tide has changed & when that happened one needs to established a firm ground to stand on it & hv to tell the world with confidence & proof what one is showing. Moeed doing a good job hammering that to the indian & presenting a strong case in front of the world with proof

Revisiting these interviews after a gap can be an enlightening/learning experience. Two things seems to have fallen by the wayside. Yusuf's plan of putting India into a corner and Yusuf's plan of playing the vacuum cleaner for US money on behalf of Pakistan. The Afghanistan strategy has backfired, Yusuf had a hard time even getting invited there. Is Pakistan better off than it was 6 months ago? The answer is a categoric "NO". It is one thing to sit down and churn out strategies using "Think Tank" terminology and yet another to address it notwithstanding a lame duck Prime Minister.

Great to see Pakistan’s unique brand of comedy can endure translation into English so well. You’d be hard pressed to find even half a dozen countries willing to acknowledge receipt of this dossier. Seeing as people in Pakistan have a laughably short memory, let me jog it a tad. Despite all protestations that this is pathbreaking stuff, it is not. The fact is Pakistan’s previous government was also brandishing a similar dossier a few years back. Remember a guy named Sartaj Aziz. An absolute caricature of a country! And what’s with the “I am a scholar” refrain?

I have no doubt this gentleman is truthful. As long as India is useful to Anglo Saxon in countering China, this guy could not be more wrong.

Talented energetic gentleman his views are clear and patriotic ..... I knew from first day APS incident had connections with India... But unfortunately we didn't show the real face of India to the world....

Good questions by najma but not impressed with all the things moeed said The policy he's suggesting for Pakistan isn't that great. Appeasement of the world with terms Like peace, economy, connectivity won't work when you see world is so unfair to us, moeed himself admitted it. So our peace peace and peace shouts will be used against us and pressure would be put on us to weaken our military, get rid of our nuclear assets, and submit ourselves to our hostile eastern neighbor. I really hope that's not our policy moeed suggesting it though. Very naive if we go with that

Clap for what? for making you fool? The actual facts are: This guy is either naïve or thinks he's too smart. He is saying that India has created perception to world as if the world leaders are dumb and they don't have the ability to think what is correct or wrong. The world has come to this so called perception based on long history of Pakistan's dual role in terrorism, nuclear proliferation, deep state, military's role in creating terror outfits for strategic depth, hiding Osama bin laden and the Pakistani's role in terror attacks in their countries. Pakistan is thinking that world has forgot all these previous incidents. If this guy thinks that by creating one English channel, speaking with good English can able to build narrative or change world's perception then it's waste of hard earned begging money. Countries build perception based on facts not on cooked stories. All Pakistan's are commenting that he is an asset. NO he's not. World is not yet ready to buy stories from Pakistan. Rather than cooking narratives do some real fact checking and fix it.

These are the people like Dr Yusuf which were missing from Pakistan's politics/intellectual arena. All these years of corrupt politics have downed Pakistan to one of its deepest points. Hopefully, young, smart and articulate people will lead Pakistan in the future. Only looking at him, there is a lot of potential there.

Here in India, if it is a matter of terrorism we do not care about the art of extracting information, rather we act explicitly.
