The hand signal to move the loco for tightening the screw of the coupling as seen at 02:00 is the same in India too . Love from India.

Nice video. I am a train enthusiast and wanted to see coupling particularly vacuum pipe brake system of Pakistan Railway.
Enjoyed the video! Do you always have two people for this job? One for coupling and the other one for the connecting the pneumatics?

Extremely dangerous job under very poor work conditions.
I think the process has errors. I am not an engineer however, the first man was about to crush his head between the bumbers and also both men didn't allow some air to flow before the connection of the air brakes, The man in the whites was standing on the tracks talking to his phone.

You are absolutely right. The coupling was done in a very dangerous way. If the bumpers were faulty he could have been squeezed by the two car bodies.

Why cant one person do both the job ..
The use of helmet, proper safety gloves and safety shoes to be ensured.
It looks like the coupling done for ICF coaches .
why is the engine coupled with the bogies till the buffers are totally depressed. what is the reason for it. wouldnt it make it strenuous to the mechanics of the engine while going on a curve. and also shouldnt the worker wait till the engines near the bogies, instead of walking along with the train. its dangerous.

Ganesh Parikh You are close to the point. When Buffers are depressed, you see , Locomotive coupling is made suddenly with coaches..when coupling completes, then buffers will release and press coache's buffers. In this way coupler is tightly coupled, so probability of decoupling decreases. Coupler is strong enough that it sustains coupling when train bends curve. Im glad Im not a train conductor in pakistan. That was so unsafe.
What that guy is doing at the beginning of the video, grabbing the engines coupler while the engine is still moving, is dangerous and if any American railroad employee were caught doing the same thing he or she would find themselves looking for another job.

Abdul Rafay Second man released pressure brake..The pressure flows through pressure pipes from locomotive to passenger bogies for pneumatic braking system.
Why Pakistan railway project is fail What is thr main reason for that Is it private road transport or corrupt officers i pray that Pakistan railways also be successfull like Indian Railways

corruption is the main reason. Maintenance is not done, trains are always hours late and there is no accountability so nobody does their job.

Five Rivers Abe o converted Tu kis jamane hai be, kis me es tarah ki cup link hai. koi train bata de. narrow gauge ho ya meters gauge Sab kisi ne es tarah ki nahi hai.
