I remember a few years ago where grocery shopping in Pakistan used to cost me 5000-7000 now it costs 25000 easily. It's about basic grocery only. Pakistan bht mehnga hy hm logo ky liyey jo yha rehty hein! 5000 Rs mey hardly 3-4 items ati hein ab 2021 mey for example ek everyday 1kg pack,some rice, bread spreads! Jo yha kmaty hein un ky liyey 5000 thori si chezo py lgana bht difficult hy! Foreigners/ Pakistani Diaspora ky liyey currency conversion ki wja sy it seems pleasant but for us it's really not.

I live in Dubai for 1 year after coming back to Pakistan I realise Pakistan is very expensive. Mai dubai mai 600 aed to 700 aed mai sub grocery dil bhar ke including beef chicken fish can food everything yaha aap achi mayonnaise sauces high quality kuch bhi nahi le sakte.

Hm 3 months roky thy pakistan jb wo gai thi 2.3 years ki thi aur total English bolti thi abi Mashallah 2.9 years ki hy aur A1 urdu bolti hy😍 by the way I m also from lahore and I wish k hm same time py pakistan visit krty tu lazmi meet up krty my daughters want to meet Tihami and. That is so much shopping, reminds me of... Myself... 😁 India and Pakistan seem neck to neck as far as the inflation is concerned. I was just trying to compare your eid suit price to Indian money amount. Roughly that would be about 5K in Indian rupees which is, I guess how much one would pay for a suit like that one here! Yes Dubai is expensive by our standards. But actually the mistake that we make is that we begin to covert the currency into ours. The earning standards of a country match that of expenditure. So basically it is same everywhere, except when we use foreign currency to buy in the lower currency value countries. Then the things in that country seem cheaper. Not so for the locals.

u are right pakistan is way good for spending but naush ur grocery doesnt have frozen food... prices are same almost uae and pakistan but point is pakistanis have less salary pakages and other expenses like bills and school fee etc... that is why people are more frustrated living in paakistan... but that money u spend on rent for living abroad... so its almost no big difference. pakistan zindabad... 🇵🇰 always miss my country and cant imagine for staying in uae longer than 7-8 months. i always appreciate for the patience and sacrifices our husbands and loved ones make for ours sake... i wish Pakistan has everything in plenty and at low cost so everyone can have a good life.

It’s true you compare it with the country you come from ,when we travel from uk to Pakistan we feel everting is very cheap because the £ is generally a strong currency and doubles in Pakistan rupee but yes for a person living in Pakistan it’s not cheap
