Pairing instructions for your Amazon Alexa enabled big mouth Billy Bass

If connecting to an Echo, Echo Dot, or Echo Plus, you can pair using the
Alexa App. First, open your Alexa App and select Settings from the menu,
then select the Alexa device you are pairing with and select “Pair Alexa Gadget”. (After holding down on the red button for a couple of seconds, Billy will tell you he’s ready for pairing to Bluetooth). Find and select your Big Mouth Billy Bass-Xxxx to begin pairing. If you are connecting to an Echo Show or Echo Spot, you can pair through the Echo
device. First swipe down from the top of the screen to expose the Settings
icon. Then Select Settings, and then select Bluetooth. Find and select your Big
Mouth Billy Bass-xxxx to begin pairing.
Once paired, your Big Mouth Billy Bass will let you know he’s ready with a special message. Using Alexa on your BMBB is simple and
hands-free. Just ask it to play Amazon music or answer questions, and Alexa will respond instantly. Have fun!
Please note that the Bluetooth compatible feature only works with Amazon Alexa Family of devices, you cannot use the fish as a Bluetooth device like for example speakers

Yes. On this version you press and hold down the button for a couple of seconds, then he will tell you that he is ready for pairing to Bluetooth. From there you just go into the Alexa app and pair it as a device

@@Sponge303 I don’t think you can. It’s only compatible with the Amazon Alexa as an accessory. If you have one, you can give it a try

The audio doesn’t come from the fish itself, only the Alexa device itself. The fish is simply an accessory to it.

I love this but I’ve only had mine a week and his skin is ripped in the middle, I assume it split when he was “dancing” to Amazon Music. Not too noticeable but kind of disappointing.

I thought mine was brand new when I bought it on eBay but when I opened it there were no instructions, and Billy was just wrapped in paper when I took it out of the box. Used this video to figure out how to pair it, so thank you for doing this video!

Can you only do this with the Bluetooth version?
I just got this model, but his head isn't turning when I say the wake word. He still responds and has his mouth move when Alexa is talking, but it isn't turning its head anymore despite doing so when I first paired it. Have you run into this?

It’s probably a broken Whistle Piece that’s inside the mechanism. There’s a little whistle shaped piece that goes underneath one of the gears for the head and pivots, and makes the head part go out. This part is probably broken. you might be able to repair it if you’re handy. Otherwise you might be able to 3-D print one if you have a 3-D printer.
Do you guys know if it’s possible to pair this with apples HomePod mini?

These are discontinued unfortunately. You may get lucky on eBay. Maybe try on there.

No. The mouth moves whenever Alexa talks. But it does dance to the music!

eBay might be your best bet nowadays, although it might be quite expensive
it's a important question, you pair a 1999 model to Alexa, and how do you pair it

Yes. There was one made for Amazon a while back ago where you could connect it to your Alexa device. It would move its mouth to Alexa’s voice, and dance around to music that you choose
