I had a thesis paper with a larger paired comparison analysis table and had no idea how it worked, thanks for this! Really fast and simplified it for me.
Merci beaucoup pour l'info ça m'aide pour les examens!
Hi, thank you for the explanation. I think there is a logical mistake in the matrix of the example. When we look at the first row and compare A and C, C is given a priority of 3 and for A and B, A is prioritized with 2 points. However, in the second row where B and C are compared, C is only given 1 point. Further when we write the logical statements: C>A>B and C∼3+A, A∼2+B, C∼1+B. I'm not sure whether I can make the second statement with numerical attributions and can add up with decisions. However, I think when we compare C and B, C is not slightly better than B with 1 point, instead it is greater than B with at least 3 points since that corresponds to the previous comparison with A. I hope I explained the situation clearly.

Happy to help.
Does the value depends on us? Or there is some kind of basis.

Could you clarify your role or affiliation? You could represent various entities such as the customer, contractor, or vendor. Please elaborate on your position or association.

I am an undergraduate researcher of "site selection for urban greenspace development", and I would use pairwise comparison to determine the influence of my category which is; Proximity to water, road, population density, and existing land use. Oh and I based my score to some related studies. Nonetheless, your explanation really did help me understand the pairwise, sir. @@dejansoftware
