Tuxedo Black is one of Ford's most gorgeous colors they've made in recent years. One of it's key ingredients though is it's absolutely insane mix of paints and also crushed up glass! The glass is what makes Tuxedo black have this super intense sparkle when it's all said and done. Today we take the ThatDudeinBlue Smurrf Mustang GT and paint the roof and its wing Tuxedo black to finally finish off the rest of the paint job. As an owner of a tuxedo black Taurus SHO, I approve.
This is really coming together,, that tuxedo black really pulls it together and balances out the blue. And that flake is stunning.

hes wet sanding and buffing the whole thing so it really doesnt matter, but I still I wouldn't lean on someone else's car i just painted.

Wow that black is insane!!!
Growing up around my dad who would always paint cars he said “painting cars is 90% prepping and 10% spraying, manufacturers cheap out on the 90% to get to the 10%” so Chris is absolutely right about how cheap OEM paint is, regardless of manufacturer I’ve seen all have the clear coat fail within first 4 years whether foreign or domestic. Don’t matter if it’s GM, FCA or ford even Volkswagen and Mercedes I’ve seen it

Glass flake has been a thing for years now, And although I rarely use it on a day to day basis I will say the end results always wow me every time. Tuxedo black was a good move with the roof for sure.

The glass flake is cool! I got some from a paint rep 20yrs ago. They used to give the Nascars special paint jobs for the night race in Charlotte. I had some of the gold/yellow flake from the Pennzoil car. Tuxedo black is a great color. I may use some on My Mustang when I paint it.
