Hello. I an a wargamer and terrain maker. I would respectfully suggest you give them all a ink or oil wash in say burnt umber or black. it will pick out all the details really nicely.

Great video, Joe. The shot right at 23:29 sold me, incredible and to think it’s N scale! This HO guy is seriously impressed. Thanks for sharing your research and techniques with the community!

Could you show some of the vehicles where you used the Rock Island blue for the windows, may be along side the ones that you used glass black? For the Fire apparatus, may I suggest Testor's Flat Aluminum for the ground ladders and the stick ladder. Alternately, you could paint the stick ladder white. I really like Testor paints and am glad they are being continued. Cheers and stay safe.

Hey, very informative video on painting N scale vehicles. I do my solid windows with Faber-Castell artist pens Phthalo Blue and Ultramarine. I use their Warm Grey for tires. They have a fine tip and cover well. I do a lot of resin 3d printing of vehicles I want. So I paint a lot of windows. The pens I found in Hobby Lobby $4.50 have done about 20 vehicles and they are still going strong.

Great video. I have been looking for somerhing on vehicles and there is little info out there. Another problem is that catalogues often say N scale and dont tell you if they are 1:160 or the 1:150. They do the same thing with buildings and I find the 1:150 often look oversized.

never buy it unless it says 1:160 scale. otherwise your getting 1:150 and it is way off in my opinion.

your vehicles turned out great ! maybe the yellow ones might have a more solid yellow color if you primed them white instead of grey. The cars look great and while the 3 d printed ones are expensive there really seems to be a market for the big ones i e walthers to produce a kit, like the groundstone series, with many vehicles and why not rr signals, not working ones. One kit could include several buildingoptions. Would love that and buy tons of them. anyway thanks for another nice video.

The testors red that I sprayed was acrylic so I used alcohol as a thinning agent. Sorry I didn't mention it in the video, that was an oversight. Thanks for watching!
