Simple until one tries to repeat ;)
The really clever thing here is to lay down a light wash, let it dry, and then come back and hit it with a slightly darker hue of the same color. I have attempted something like this without letting it dry first, and it turns into a royal mess. Very helpful video!

The dry brush at the end was like magic! I gotta try this right away!!!
It looked amazing at the end. Especially the way the color slowly fades in to the white background.
perfect is boring but his painting are ridiculously perfect. 😂

Big respect for u sire ... I learned this with the help of you thank you 💓
So simple yet effective
Yesss. Thank you. Very nice!
This is awesome! I esp. found the tip on using a dry hake brush, to help stop the bleeding, most helpful. Thank you! Also, I see you are using a roll of toilet paper to dry off your brush. That's a terrific idea because the moisture can dry out btwn painting sessions, and be ready to absorb again next time. You only need to waste a top layer or 2 !
Thanks for sharing..So easy to do.
So beautifully done
Thank you so much for this, cured a fault of mine..very well explained and executed..❤

Just what I was looking for....Thank you so much :)
This was a great tutorial. Though it's probably best to use the materials you mentioned. Because I used cheap paper. So my watercolor painting didn't look nearly as good as yours. Though I enjoyed getting the practice! --"Thank You for making this Video" :)

Ron, approximately how long do you wait for that sweet spot between putting the second wash of clean water down before you begin the ripples? I didnt wait nearly long enough and it ruined the effect.
what type of paper are you using?
u made that look soooo easy lol
What kind of Brushes do you use for the "ripples".(synthetic or what)? They look like house painting brushes, but appear to form a "tight" knife type shape? This would really help me to get the effect that you are teaching! You do beautiful work, and your experience is obvious.I'm 72 years old, and want to soak up all of the techniques I can to help me get a "late" start. Sincerely Ed J.
