For anyone interested about the lucky cat origin story: Once, in Japan, near a temple, a man was hiding underneath a tree to avoid being rained on during a storm, when he saw a cat at the entrance of the temple. The cat looked like it was waving its paw, to call the man inside. And so, he ran into the temple. Moments later, the tree he was hiding under got struk by lightning.

I’m 45. Started watching her with my oldest who was in high school daughter 5 or 6 years ago? She has now graduated college. Now I I watch with my 6 year old ( she started watching it when she was 4) and to night was the first time my 1 year old showed interest in watching with us. Lol it’s a family tradition to tune in every Friday to see the new ones and for us to randomly try one of her projects.

Hey Moriah, I have a pretty good idea for a plant pot, you could paint Georgie on it but his head is at the top and you can’t see his head plant and plant a plant that looks like Georgies head plant :)

"I don't know the story of the lucky cat." Luckily you have a folklore nerd in your comments section. The most common story is that a wealthy man was taking shelter from a storm under a tree when he saw a cat in a nearby temple gesturing with it's paw. The man interpreted this as the cat beckoning for him to approach, so he ran from under the tree to the temple. The moment he set foot in the temple, lightning struck the tree, destroying it instantly. The man was very thankful to the cat and kept it as a companion until it's death, and also became caretaker of the temple. After the cat died, he put up a statue of the cat gesturing in the temple to honor it. After the statue was put up, the temple prospered, and the statue of a cat with it's paw raised became a symbol of good fortune.

the price for the boxes were definitely very high for what she got. but somethings should have gotten way more credit than they got. kawaii is an actual style and aesthetic, not just things that look "cutsie" i think because moriah's style is a lot different than what she was thinking kawaii is, she was expecting something a lot different. yea the items from the boxes were definitely not worth the money she payed, but she really didn't need to say some things. multiple times she said that the people that made the boxes were just looking for a quick buck, but bruh that's not cool. who knows how hard the people that made the boxes worked on them, and it could be paying for their collage fund or something.. n e way, she really just shitted on someone's hard work and like an entire style...

I would take the salt and pepper shakers and I would paint them pink to make it a pink pig and I would probably paint the thing that's on their back as maybe a pineapple and it looks a little bit weird but definitely better
