As someone who has spent countless hours drawing/painting super fine lines, when you began detailing his dermis, and adding the multitude of hair strands, i found it so satisfying, and soothing. Thank you for that.

I have seen you do many landscapes and I very much admire your skills. This is the first portrait I've seen you do. Amazing. As an artist, breaking down your painting is a skill that is essential. Starting with the blocking stage gives you a roadmap as to where to go next. Color choice is critical as well. Then refinement. Bottom line, You make a very difficult task seem easy. Thank you very much Michael for sharing your skills. You can be the new Leonardo da Vinci of out era. Keep up the amazing work.

Yes! True! This is the first time I saw him doing a portrait ! Till now, I have seen only his landscape paintings. But he proves that he is equally good at portraits also. One thing makes me his fan is his ability to do extremely realistic and detailed paintings! I am yet to see some else who does it like him! Yes, he makes a very difficult task seem easy. But that is the problem ! ;-) If I try it, nothing will work out the way he does! In fact, the mixing of colours in such a way they seem very natural and creating the fine details can be achieved only through constant and long experimentation and practice!

I've followed your landscapes , with such incredible detail , then you hit us with this , OMG , you see the world in a different way to everyone else , such attention to detail , you can paint anything , with such a small brush , down a pixel level , I'm blown away . I'll be joining back in to your lessons .

I've never seen a portrait painted in this way before. It was a joy to watch.

Last few weeks- my hobbies- watching these types of painting vdoss.. coz its background music is so soothing ♥️♥️♥️

Only in the past two years have I said the words “I’m an artist” and felt comfortable saying it. I paint paintings. Landscapes mainly. But after watching you Michael, paint this, each pore, hair and wrinkle, starting with medium tones then making it completely baby butt smooth then adding all of those things that cause it to come alive, I don’t think I qualify to say ‘I’m an artist’, when referring to myself anymore. You really make it fun to learn and to genuinely believe that you could possibly do this one day. Very beautiful and amazing. Even more a fan today than I was yesterday. 👍🏼🤍
