Ray this one is sooo beautiful. Eye popping colours. This would look so great in blue tones. Midnight blue, metallic teal and ice baby blue and some white. But I love this fire 🔥 colour. It has so much movement.

Hi Ray - love your style and techniques! Thank you for sharing your videos, as a newbie, they're very helpful. Can I ask, what are you painting on, is it canvas, some sort of paper or board? Does it matter terribly whether one paints on canvas or paper? I'm not a huge fan of the texture of canvases coming through my paintings so is bristol OK?

There are many brands to choose from that work well, just try a few and pick your favorite

@@RayGrimesAbstractArt What brand? It looks less pastey than heavybody. Also, when you use the brush to fill the background, do you wet your brush with glaze. When I color the background, I don't get as much pull from the mess I make with the pallet knife.

Darryl Jackson I believe this was liquatex basics. Try spraying a little water, that may help with blending.
