It sounds like you know this already, but I think it's worth repeating: some people don't like the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Some people don't like Starry Night. Some people, yours truly included, think the Mona Lisa is a bit over-rated. It is absolutely impossible as an artist to please everyone. I work as a front-end web developer. I can tell you from experience that a LOT of software developers and IT professionals don't have an abundance of tact. They continue to forget "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." Shrug it off. You've clearly got a lot of fans in this channel, and if you're proud of what you did, then forget the rest of the negative voices, even if they're the ones speaking the loudest.

Dude I’ve been trying to convince my company to do this for ages… one of our offices moved to a second floor above a brewery… they aren’t allowed signage, which is ridiculous, but I’m like “hey let’s talk them into a super sick mural and maybe we can get our logo put in it … that would bring people to the brewery as well as let people know where our new office is.” I have not given up on the fight!

Awesome job DOKE! Best one so far in this building. Can't wait to see what else you come up with for them!

Loved this one, even more the the other graffiti ones. I’m not the biggest graffiti fan, but you definitely are making me appreciate it. I think the general public just can’t read graffiti / connect it (no pun intended) to people who spray paint graffiti horribly all over town.

I love this one. I think it's my favourite out of the 3 you've done (so far). Also, you can't please everyone but as long as the 'customer' is happy with the commission, you've pleased the 'right' person - and everyone who shares their aesthetic. Hopefully that guy's office is close enough to your murals so that he can hopefully learn to love different art styles to what he's used to. Exposure to new things keeps the creative juices flowing, which as a software developer can only be a good thing. Not to mention that exposure to new things can change your perspective. There's always a positive in every negative; sometimes you just gotta look a little deeper to find it.

Best one yet! As someone in IT for half my life now, I can understand both sides. Sometimes staring at a blank wall can help focus your thought processes, or help provide inspiration. I also like Graph tho, so I think I would enjoy having this to look at and would just find another blank canvas to look at when needed.
