Paint Pots & Queens | The Railway Series

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Thomas and Gordon have formed an alliance, and are working hard to make up for their mistakes, but one day, a peculiar rake of coaches arrive at the works...
Yeah this took way too long, I guess this is what I get for adding so much to the original story. Anyways, thanks for being patient and hope you enjoy the finale to the Gordon saga.

Hey, if you ever decide to do The Fat Controller's Engines arch, I have a scene where Percy is showing Pug and another tank engine what to do when Henry ribs him about falling into the ocean, only for Pug and the tank engine to tell him to go away. Like Herny did to them in Percy takes the Plunge, and returning the favor to Percy for defending them from being called silly.

I seriously do personally just suddenly believe that the late Queen Elizabeth ll herself certainly would basically be very shockingly surprisingly impressed with this official video when happily looking down from Heaven right now feeling extremely proud of Gordon the Big blue livery-paintwork carrying the official #4 L N E R class A0 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive designed by Sir Herbert Nigel Gresley himself in Doncaster during the official 192Os as a prototype of the well-known L N E R class A1 Pacific type of steam-driven railway tender locomotive!

I love the alternative take on this story. Such as Henry shunting his own train just to prove he's worthy of pulling the royal train and getting distracted which then leads to him causing a crash in the process.

I like how Henry was happy that Thomas got his branch line back and Gordon can pull coaches and the fact he suggested them (mostly Gordon) really feels wow. Really shows despite losing his chance to pull the queen’s royal train, he still is glad Thomas and Gordon get back their regular duties or what they like to pull. Makes him more then just a self centered jerk after his rebuild.

The appearance of 57647 (Douglas) in this episode acts as a prequel to The Twin Engines; I could imagine Douglas telling Donald about his visit to Sodor and maybe this visit gave them both the idea of going there! Surely James would have pulled the Express while Gordon was in disgrace, along with Henry. Perhaps 57647 helped with the shunting while Thomas and Gordon were working on the main line and with the extra workload during the Queen's Visit. Maybe Donald and / or Douglas were among the visiting engines in The Eight Famous Engines as well.

I think Henry has had a personality change since his rebuild at Crewe, but he's definitely the same Henry because he still said that no-one ever let him forget the time he wouldn't come out of the tunnel in Percy Takes The Plunge. I thought of the story of Henry while passing through Crewe on the way to / from the Battle of Nantwich re-enactment and while walking through the tunnels on the Monsal Trail (a disused railway line in the Derbyshire Peak District).

You wrapped off retelling the saga of Gordon's disgrace with probably the best instalment of the lot in the presentation and adjustments made to convey a deeper narrative. I like the juxtapositions made in accordance with the Rev. Awdry's established timeline; I noticed them in a few places. Regards, Samuel Farris.

I only just got around to commenting on this video, and boy do I wish I'd done so sooner. It should go without saying that this adaptation of Paint Pots and Queens is absolutely amazing. First of all, many of the visuals looked absolutely stunning, it almost felt like this was actually something right out of the HiT era. In fact, at some points, it didn't feel like you were using Trainz 19 and these were actually the official gauge 1 models. I particularly enjoyed the scenes of Henry shunting, I don't know why though. The characters also really shine during this adaptation. Gordon has really come a long way from being the pompus egotistical jerk he was back in Off the Rails and is now a respectable express engine that the other engines can finally look up to, even the other big engines. Thomas is another character I want to draw attention to, he and Gordon can really empathise with each other. As an alliance, it's clear they've got each other's backs, as made evident by Gordon letting Thomas come with him on his goods run to get him out of the yard a bit. I feel as though if the two engines still had their punishments, Gordon would keep doing that, and maybe even trade jobs with Thomas to get the tank engine out of the yard a bit. Henry also deserves a bit of light as it's clear he really does feel sorry for Gordon, and maybe is even a bit guilty as he somewhat provoked Gordon's tirade with his whole "Fat-Face" comment. The amount of humour in this is great too. I honestly love how Henry's fireman painted Henry's name on the white spot. Well, he did say he'd cover it. I also really love "The workers at the paint factory have gone on strike," line, and how the Fat Controller face palms, that line had me in stitches. Overall, this was a brilliant adaptation, a beautiful tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, and a great showing of Gordon's character growth. I certainly hope you consider making more videos like this in the future, and I'd love to see them. Have a great one my friend.

I cannot explain the overwhelming amount of joy I had when this popped up in my youtube inbox, the long anticipated finale has arrived! I absolutely love your unique sense of direction, which applies to all of your adaptations from "Gordon the Big Engine" - you've breathed a lot of life into these stories, and despite having seen them adapted hundreds of times by hundreds of other people, I found myself remaining captivated right up to the end of this wonderful saga. Something I really appreciate with your adaptations with your willingness to break the mold and create something unique; very frequently people resort to using the classic Mike and Junior themes in their videos, but you've gone to town with your own cinematic style, music and visuals to boot. It's also rare to hear Hartshorne scores in fan videos, but they were used very appropriately here I feel. The more impactful scenes were matched quite wonderfully with these grand, sweeping scores which made the story feel so immersive - I had goosebumps during that final scene, the absolute perfect way to show to the audience how far Gordon has come! Fantastic work Rhys, you should be very proud! :))

This was another great take on Paint Pots and Queens, even better than the original episode I would say.

00:25 - now that was a surprise! I wonder how times Sir Topham Hatt saw that. I also liked how you expanded the story so as to add more character interactions and development, Henry's was especially cool.

I love how Ted told TFC that the workers at the paint factory went on strike and the face palm followed had me in stitches.

I love the version of Tidmouth sheds you used in this episode. It's a neat cross between the sheds from Awdry's books and the newer sheds in Christopher's books.

Hopefully, there'll be more. I absolutely love going from "the trouble with leaves and holes" to this every morning. I might make a video of my own if I can get it thanks to this.

I gotta say, I’ve really enjoyed this video, a good episode for adapting for starters. Another thing is that you’ve used custom faces that I haven’t seen before, especially for James and Henry specifically, and the animation is awesome
