I’m 52 with a slightly injured lower back. I used to work out and run before that. This has given me hope! Great video and I’ll look into this this weekend. Thanks you

Please look at Pacer Poles! They have women’s body’s in mind when designing. I have skiers thumb and horrific arthritis in each hand- these poles are molded to your hands- no pain -went from 5 miles to 8 in one week! No wasted energy from pain dragging you down. You will thank me, as all my friends have!

Position for lower back, feet problems is very different than the regular conditioning position. The elbows are kept at a 90degree angle and not extended, this is a very different rhythm and stride. I will search around for more in depth information on this.

I’m concerned about hand in the hand strap….if pole catches on the ground and you fall….can’t always dislodge hand that quick to let pole go….there goes your wrist

Sorry I understand you don't grip the pole and you use the straps to pose your weight ..I also understand that you move your arm straight as if you are going to shake hands the angle of the pole touching the ground in angle...also in agreement with the comment about 90° angle in elbow when at rest...

I can't find those handles for sale anywhere with the place for your wrist to rest. All the poles I have found look more like the skiing poles she showed. Where can I get them?

Never mind, I found them on her Urban Poling Site! There was an Australian shop on there too. Perfect!!

Whilst it makes walking easier, it there a danger that you may become dependent on the poles and lose your ability to balance unaided?

No, not at all. In fact, in years of using poles for walking in all four Canadian seasons I have found that my balance without them has improved.
