Naruto has had a lot of great villains over the years, with Madara being one of my favorites, but Nagato/Pain was also a great villain who managed to impact the story on a tremendous level without actually ever showing up until he was ready to take action himself. Sure, there were plenty of other villains in the series that are deserving of recognition as well, but for now, this one goes to Pain alone.

Reposting a couple of things from the pinned comment I made on my Madara Uchiha video: 1) This isn't an anime-only channel. Yes, some of my uploads will be based on anime series and films, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't express your displeasure on my other videos when I make edits with live action or animated series/films. Even on my shorter videos, I spend quite a long time editing and it's disheartening when the first five comments are "do Naruto" or "well this was disappointing do another anime". 2) I'm straight up deleting all comments complaining about my videos using the English dubs. Unless an anime series/film has a particularly awful dub or no English dubbed version exists at the time, I will never use the subbed version as it makes editing these kinds of videos that much harder. 3) *Yes, I've seen your comments asking for an Itachi video and I will be making one at some point,* but as I said above, this isn't an anime-only channel and I'm only one person-these videos take time for me to make and I'm a fairly busy person, so please be patient. ~David

You deserve a lot more respect and attention dude. How can you focus all these skills only to anime edits? It would be really limiting, especially for someone so overskilled in edits. I watched and liked all your videos, though I just wish to like them a hundred times but damnit I can't. You're making these videos absolutely flawless. "Those who do not pain will never understand true peace" is originally a Buddhist proverb. Lots of Buddhist and Shinto influences in Naruto of course.

And that gap is ..., he said himself that "If there is justice in vengeance, then such justice will only breed further vengeance", yet he still wanted to gain justice via vengeance by attacking Konoha.

The fact nagato use the corpse of yahiko to make pain. His relationship with jiraiya. His ideals and concept for the world are god like. Also in the end he put his trust to naruto bcz naruto broke the cycle of hatred

They say that we create our own demons, Pain was the true embodiment of that as sure, Obito and Madara had a role in his development, but it was the Leaf that created him. From Leaf ninja killing his parents, Leaf ninja influencing Hanzo, leaf ninja that meddling killed Yahiko and scarred Nagato and Konan. As pain made him grow to resent war, he wished to bring that same lesson to the world. To make the five great nations feel that pain, to make them resent war was well...as THAT was his form of *justice*.
Pain is the best villian of all the villains in naruto. (not saying he is the strongest, saying he is the most well written out of everyone in the naruto series)

i mean not rlly. Nuking ppl isnt a gr8 idea. I got the concept, but his way of doing things was just not going to work. Error 1 is ppl will fight back and if u lose ur ideaology will fade away, especially since most ppl dont like it. Also, Naruto didn't rlly have a way to achieve peace. He simply said he would keep looking for it unlike nagato who believe peace was impossible and we could only achieve momentarily peace.
