I remember, when someone tried to bully me, i would always fight them. I didn’t care if i ended up in the hospital or get expelled, but im not gonna let anyone control my life. There was some fight i won and some fight i lost, but i never relied on school because their discipline are superficial. What i notice from bullies is that they generally will leave you alone if you fight back. They want to feel superior in every way possible, so if you ignore it, it will just end up fuelling them even more. But if u fight, even if you lose, they don’t want to deal with you again because it draws too much attention. Even if they come back, if you hit back, they will stop because its too much of hassle . Funny thing about schools, the only time i got disciplined for fighting was when i was play fighting with my friends. Where were they when actual bullying was happening? Schools are absolutely useless. Always fight back, make sure they regret ever picking on you. That’s the only way to stop bullying unfortunately.

Paige seems like a nice girl. She gets hate almost entirely because she gets so much promotion from the UFC despite her lack of MMA skill and accolades all based off of her pretty face and blonde hair. Other fighters who are way better than her are paid and promoted much less and that's because of looks and not performance.

But does it really? You get praised beyond believe and your book will instantly sell 100x more. You get to go on all the talk shows and be a victim. This will boost her UFC numbers even higher. Being raped is fucking awful, horrible, pretty much the worse thing you can do to someone. But i cant help but have my doubts with this girl and some others that come out. I know that makes me a "piece of shit" in some peoples eyes but i can not help it.

I was physically, mentally and verbally abuse, same from boys, I always felt like a lonely child in school, I've been making fun of, about my looks and my clothes, I cried like a big baby everyday, I always lied to my parents telling them that school was great, but not all the time, they even steal my stuff and throw my stuff around, there were times that I want to hurt myself and there were times that I don't want to go to school because I didn't want to deal with the BS and I never told the teachers or anyone at school, thank you for sharing your story, Paige Vanzant, I've been a fan of your work since

For people asking why there’s so many dislikes. It’s mainly UFC fans. Paige has a tendency to do shit that drives us nuts at times. So they think this is one of those things and I’d normally agree but this is a little more serious. Regardless if it helps sell books. She had go through it. I can actually see the kid in her, and that hurts.

Because Paige Vanzant seems like a very nice person, and I think that after being sexually assaulted, she'd be disappointed in her fans associating her with "Hot" a lot more than "Talented."

Important to know she is only in her early 20s and it was not right what happened to her. That being said, as a MMA fan, it is difficult to follow when the UFC promotes her and yet she lost her last two fights. I doubt the dislikes have to do with her story or her book. Might be more about her MMA career in general.

There is something very wrong and very sick about the American education system in which bullying and rapes go unreported and unpunished. This is because the bullies and rapists know that as “minors”, and with good lawyers, they can get away with it. Such crimes must be punished as adults, including life imprisonment and the death penalty. The parents and the schools are responsible and if they fail to address these problem kids then they deserve to be sued and punished , including prison.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you ever frequent any MMA channels, you'll discover that the amount of toxicity is downright overwhelming. I'm convinced that a solid percentage of MMA fans have some type of personality disorder. And this is coming from an avid MMA fan. It seems that the decent minority are overshadowed by the loud, insecure Mongoloids who dominate the forums. Or, maybe, it's the other way around - and it's the loud, abusive minority who make themselves out to be bigger in number than they actually are, simply because being loud and abusive is the only thing that can garner them some attention.

  • @joeridgechua

Part to blame for this behavior is MMA's recent attraction from wrestling fans. I'd frequented wrestling forums from 07-13 and it's safe to safe those are the "mother cesspools" of insecure low-lifes. I've only been a fan since 2016 and I noticed the mood of the community is relative to Conor's temperament. It's like children mimicking their favorite cartoon character, only that the show they are watching is the real world. The thing is many people see MMA not as a sport but as a circus of violence. These adults are in conflict between society's mores and the rebellion instigated by these entertainers. That's a fact we all have to accept. You know, as a fan of MMA since 2016, I'm still in search of a mature forum or online community. I frequent the subreddit, r/MMA, but it's becoming a troll paradise lately, not enough hardcore discussion. Sherdog is much much worse with the constant flaming. Tapology is only good for lists; the forums are very inactive.

I suppose that the comment sections on MMAFighting.com and Bloodyelbow.com are the most consistently mature forums for MMA discussions. I'd stay away from mmamania.com, though. It's usually only a notch above the KZread comment section in terms of decency, but you'll occasionally find mature discussions there.

Those news websites lack what I call dynamic discussion. I'm talking about comparing fighter to fighter, historical fights/moments, and hell even the business side. The wrestling community has an endless catalog of those discussions, as its fanbase has been around longer and are more committed to the product (not exactly the practice). Where are the MMA fans who were around since the 90s? In turbulent times, we need the elders.

She is so fragile. How do we mentally build her up? She doesn't need martial arts, she needs self defense classes and a positive outlook on life. By focusing on the past, sharing her story, it will maker her more miserable. I know the "finally someone likes me" danger, but fortunately it did not turn into rape for me.

What happenned to her sounds like worse than what happens in the very good fiction "13 reasons why''. That's awfull. This also means there are free rapists out there. That's scary

She did have a bad last name that she changed for TV I guess that's what it was....her parents should have known she was gunna get bullied for it.

Yea ok i guess she is telling the truth... Not at all lmao yeah its to hear but lets be real is it true most likely not she is most likely trying to build her fan base and wat is really crazy is that this women has shown no type of shyness in her personality at all or any signs that she has had anything like that happen in her life lmao the girl literally was just at team alpha male and only posts her being surrounded my men in most of her pictures on instagram, so i mean does that really shows any sign that this women was gang raped like come on now something like that especially a gang rape meaning being fucked by 4-5 guys and u mean to tell me u perfectly fine being men 24/7 with no out burst or any kinda stress through out the day. And to all those who have been sexually assaulted im am truly sorry as this comment for you but is directed to those who are completely lying about this issue and trying make people get behind them in doing it.

I agree. Of course I don't know but I don't think she was violently raped like she is trying to make it sound. But I definitely believe that she was bullied because she has said that from the start. She also said that an abusive boyfriend caused HER to get a dui. Which shows me that she doesn't take responsibilities for her own actions and blames other people.

Jewel H i do see your point on the bulling but it is also kinda shakey because she was a cheer leader you know so i mean eh maybe that's true or she probably couldn't take a joke and over reacted most of the time during high school but that's just my opinion, also this girl is gorgeous and its very hard for me especially for me to someone like that get bullied or raped cause if anything if she was in my high school with me being a senior and wat i have witnessed over the years she don't fit that criteria, and ask yourself if she was in your school when you were in highschool do see any of those things happening to her?

Now though, oh my god, I'm heart broken for her and I see her and her career in a whole different light

Idk, looks fake to me. Whoever knows eye body language - looking down is either feeling of submissiveness, guilt or general disinterest. Guilt applies here. Remembering experience or emotions is looking up and to the left, she doesn't do that. Besides, not a single drop of tear. I'd imagine if it was so horrific, she'd be sobbing out there.
