About: This Global Vipassana Pagoda has a great story. Basically Vipassana is a ancient meditation technique which was followed by Gautam Buddha. After the rule of British over India the Vipassana had lost his importance but one of the Gautam Buddha's follower had continued this Vipassana in Yangon city of Myanmar and built Shwedagon Pagoda.
He had spread this Vipassana all over the world and on behalf of Thanks one of the same structure of Pagoda was built in Mumbai, India. It took 11 years to build this from the year 1997 to 2008.

Keep going straight till you reach the Helipad. At the Helipad, take a right turn to the Global Pagoda Road through the Sanchi Arch.

Ans: The pagoda, or ta in Chinese, made its first appearance in China about 68 A.D. when Buddhism arrived from India. As the religion spread during the sixth century, from China to Japan and Korea, the pagoda became a defining form in religious architecture.
8. Is jeans allowed in Temple?
Ans: Dress modestly like wear a Saree, Salwar kameez, chudidhar. But you can also opt for skirts and frocks. Jeans and other revealing dresses should likely be avoided if possible.
