Bravura variations indeed! Your virtuoso playing really makes this piece sing. Your whole performance is marvelous, starting with its meditative opening. That opening sounds peaceful in places, and is very calm overall. The piece gets more lively after a bit, and I think my favorite part starts around 4:45, when it starts to sound like a dance. Just amazing that you can make a lively dance with just one string of the double bass, and the rapid pace and changes of tempo show off your tremendous virtuosity. Lovely, thank you. 🤩😍

Das Stück ist wohl zu schwer. Das spielen andere Bassisten, insbesondere Ödön Racz, wesentlich besser.

I don't like to criticize other people's, playing, but I beg to differ. I have heard several performances of this piece from each of them, and I know which of the two I'd rather listen to playing it, and respectfully, though he does play the bass very beautifully, it is not Mr. Racz. Mikyung also has another, audio-only video of this piece (from a live radio broadcast) that I like even better than this one. (Not only does Mr. Racz commit even more obvious mistakes than Mikyung does in many of his performances of this - so I'm not sure why you thought it was too difficult for Mikyung but not for him? - but I think she also plays it much more musically and engagingly throughout.)
