My granny tell us this story whenever we asked her what happened after sto. Niño de Tondo was stolen. She said that rain doesn't stop after the incident and it's all in the news, she thought that whole Philippines is sinking until they found the stolen sto. Niño and the rain then stops.

The storm only stopped after the statue was returned. Now I really believed the story. Greedy bitch!
