Wow, the movement on both starter’s pitches was incredible tonight

I grew up in Arlington and I remember seeing Darvish in his MLB rookie season with the Rangers. I was 15 at the time and super excited to see our phenom recruit in action. He gives up 6 ER 6 BB against the the fckin A's hahaha I've always rooted for him though, his stuff is nasty but he's always had issues with command

How does one become a blue Jays and Padres fan? I'm genuinely curious. Such an odd combination

@tacobellcall9118 This is really my first year or so genuinely following the MLB in-depth, and I have always been a Leafs fan my whole life, so the Blue Jays naturally are my home team. Around the same time as I began watching baseball, I met my girlfriend's family from the Dominican Republic, who are huge Soto fans, so I began following the team a bit more closely but then I ended up really growing attached to the team in general, so the Padres are my second team I adopted (even if Soto leaves, I'll still cheer for the team) It sounds a bit like a bandwagon fan of me, and maybe it is, but I really enjoy both of the teams haha.

@@KairiDivine hey man. Well us padre fans welcome you!
Imagine how easy the scouting report vs Varsho is! High fastball out of the zone every time = swing and miss. Brandon Belt batting 3rd everyday in the lineup is hilarious as well.

Be;t lost me hen he made that crack about messing up his "friend" Logan Webb and his family. Bush league BS
6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K Darvish, the dependable dad, is back! His success is absolutely essential for the Padres to get back on track in the second half of the season.👏👏👏
It's so nice to see Yu Darvish throw well these days
Nunca dudé que Berrios iba a recuperar su forma, es un trabajador incansable… por eso le dicen La Máquina
The Padres are 4th in pitching but 24th in batting. If the bottom 4 hitters in the lineup were not .200 hitters the Padres might be going somewhere. One bright spot is Kim who was at .240 early in the season and is now at .264.

Maybe trade snell for 2 good hitters? I dunno
If Bichette could've made a decent throw to Chapman, this game is still going.
@stevewilson5402

Offense was the problem, not Bichette's fielding. Bo had two hits, more than anyone else on the team. You're wrong to blame him. Don't comment.
@NatTurnerswitBurnerz

@stevewilson5402 Bichette's fielding will always be a problem. He's not a shortstop. The Jays were so concerned about defense in left field in the off-season, but ignore the shortstop position, which is far more important. Perhaps you shouldn't comment because you're just biased fanboy of his.
Go Padres. Always loved the brown unis
Amazing pitching on both teams, I think that home plate umpire is still looking for his seeing eye dog though
Snell might just get a no-hitter tomorrow.
Let’s goo padres❤❤🎉 a lot of close umpire calls
I was at the game, Honeywell gave me a ball and Hader signed it

How do you manage that, my son wanted an autograph? Thx
The Padres are rebounding well after getting skunked by the Phillies. But once again, they needed strong pitching to pull out a win. Great ptching by both teams, very little offense with two teams of all-stars
대단한 경기였어. 두 팀은 누굴 편애 할 수 없지. 이런 경기를 펼치니.
kiermaier's belly flop into second base 🤣
Back to normal jays
Guerrero Jr. 0 - 3 with RISP, another all-star performance. lol

Standard for him. But if the team is up 7 runs in the 8th he's bound to hit a "dramatic" solo HR.
@yoobro9579
10 ай бұрын
Maybe the HR derby messed up and affected his swing or is that just natural for him.?
I'm not digging at the jays I'm just saying seems like they keep going down in flames how you go from a 20 run team to this is absolute madness
I was 🤏 that close during the Tigers/White Sox series just before the ASB, to suspending my subscription to March if they lost more than 2 of 6. Looks like they fooled me yet again. This Jays team is insufferable.
The better the pitching, the less the rest of the Jays team want to help. It's a shame.
Classic Blue Jays this season. Digging themselves out of the trenches only to come back and get punked by the Padres lol.

Exactly. As soon as you start to believe in them they get embarrassed by a mediocre team. Last time it was the redsox on Canada day. They're not consistent at all for a team trying to go for it. Very frustrating to watch.

Ha Seong Kim fighting
Just horrible, another ice cold day of batting and wasting a gem from Berrios. He would have went 0 and maybe had a different ending without the Bo error. It's always frustrating how streaky this team is, and it needs some moves at the deadline to focus on consistency. Instead of talking about the game (it was boring), I'm going to comment about trade deadline stuff. There are 3 things the Jays need, and I've been posting about it on other videos. Luckily, FO agrees it's the same 3 things they're going to shoot for. An established starting pitcher to knock Manoah/Kikuchi/Ryu out of the lineup to get 5 or 6 SPs, depending on who performs by then. A lefty reliever or someone who can deal with both sides that is reliable for late game pressure holds. Finally, they need a veteran bat that can DH; someone who has a great average, some pop and a hearty amount of RBIs. Switch/righty preferred, but some bats are just generally loud, and I don't care as long as they can excite and generate some consistency in this lineup. We swing for the fences way too much and there needs to be a veteran voice telling us that we're wrong and to play more small ball. Someone who has some clutch too, to come in for pinch hits on off days when needed. Now, who are potentials? • SP: Stroman is the one floating around. Honestly, he's a great pitcher. However, he's got a lot of baggage, not really fitting into the vibe of the team and having left Toronto on a sour note. He'd also cost a lot, and would likely be a rental. Others hitting the market have some bloated ERAs and are kinda streaky for my liking. Overall, I think if Ryu's fastball velo can continually pump up, he takes that spot. I'm not opposed to Stroman, but I do wonder if there's better choices over Cease/Giolito. • Reliever: Slowly, there are talks of the Yankees selling. I kind of like someone of Tommy Kahnle's caliber in the pen to kick White out and be there for an inning to help share Swanson's load. I actually kind of liked the idea of Fujinami in the pen, but the O's just took him. If somehow, Liam Hendriks is sold, that's a big one for me too. • Bat: There's some more thoughts here. If I make a straight up list: Brent Rooker, Cody Bellinger, Paul Goldschmidt, Francisco Alvarez, or Juan Soto. There are some like Gleyber Torres that hit the market, but do carry some baggage of defensive mishaps. A handful of these probably won't even be actually available, but they do occupy contacts that are either just 1 year, or have enough close clearance to be viable. Guys like Brandon Nimmo would be nice, but have bloated 8 year contracts. I also thought of Harrison Bader, but the dude sadly just gets injured far too often. Out of everyone, I'd actually want Alvarez if the Mets go into heavy sell mode. We could save one doling away too many assets by including Kirk in the mix, who is just ice cold and a basepath liability. Sadly, the GM has said they "believe in Kirk" and don't plan to really work anything around him. They really only focus on believing his bat will improve and refuse to acknowledge that the real problem is that he also wastes a DH spot a lot of days and becomes a liability on the bases. That's not getting fixed. I don't hate the Varsho trade, but we should have traded Gurriel and Kirk, not Moreno. Anyways, this trade is going to decide where this team goes. With some smart moves, they can make a true run for it. If the trades are dry or weak, they're going to stay streaky hot and cold and it'll end as a repeat of last year. The O's are taking some big risks with guys like Hicks and Fujinami, and I like their tenacity in doing so and think they truly have a run at it. I want the Jays to show the same aggression in wanting it.
MLB has figured out beating the Jays seems to be a formula of breaking balls instead of fastballs. They can’t hit a slider.
투수전 미쳤네...
i wish bo bichette knew how to throw so then berrios didn't have to give up a double

Well…so much for the run for first place in the second half.😟
Of course he is the leader on BB that's all Soto can do jajja....the Nationals I bet they glad he didn't accept that deal😂
As it always goes: a bonehead throwing error from Bichette leads to losing the game.
