We were there last Thursday before labor day. Everything was clean at the Pavilion .the folks at the office were very nice and helpfull .what I liked was The showers at the top of landing from the beach. I stopped and washed my shoes and feet off. Thank you park service for the great facilities .

How far into the beach do you need 4 wheel drive?

@@ChrisBanks211 I went all the way down the beach which is 66 miles to the land cut in a stock 2017 Toyota 4Runner. I put it in 4H very little of the time.

do you have to worry about high tide coming in and washing your truck away?

Yes. Depending on tide cycle and weather where you can camp can change a lot.
The dogs can run free and enjoy just being a dog.

Only reason these 2 are on a leash is that they are rescue dogs from the shelter who are just learning to come when called.
