They are many actress other actress who could justify the padmavati , deepika have a blesst body that's why role went to her .

She's fine in it, nothing special, Shahid does a really solid job but its totally Ranveers movie, he steals every scene in it

I always like Deepika for her humbleness, but for this movie, I noticed she keep emphasizing it is her movie. and also she saying Shahid and Ranveer helped her with Her movie. What does that mean? I feel Ranveer has done far better job than anyone else in the movie. even Shahid being the underdog, done a very good job. I feel she wasn't the right choice for this movie. Queen Padmavati was extremely beautiful as per the history. Unfortunately, though Deepika is a good actor, she is not that beautiful to go crazy by a Sultan. The makers should have selected some other actress for this role. Look at Devsena in Bahubali 2. She has that queen look. But, Deepika always seems similar in her movies. It seems repetitive. Sanjaya leela bansali should select different actress other than Aishwarya and Deepika in his movies. We neeed new talents, just getting bored watching few actresses over and over again. Though Deepika contributes a lot to her movies. But, for this all the credit should go to Sanjaya Leela Bansali and Ranveer singh. Ranveer Singh is the finest actor we find in the bollywood right now. Amazing dedication and hardwork.

Haha she looks more pretty than Anushka Shetty . She has big eyes & mesmerizing smile . & Her expression & expressive eyes is rare . & Anushka can't to that way .

Arno Dorian see the thing is, the loudest and the most complex character will get the attention. Shahid and Deepika did their roles perfectly. I personally loved shahid's performance
