Really, I can't thank you enough for making this video.. I watched a few other videos online that gave me a touch of info here and there, but this was the help I really needed in tying them together and answering most of my questions. I mean really, as it stands now, it does not get any better than this video and I hope others understand it as well because it's awesome.

Thank you very much!! I have been certified for the repair and service of the regulators of a few major brands and have been doing the work for quite a few years already but watching your videos still benefits me a lot from your clear and systematic explanation!!

Best video on KZread. When I was a DM, one of my drivers crashed the top of his tank while going through a swim through....mental. of course he was fine....abit shaken up and fortunately I had a DMT with me who took him back to the boat and the rest of us carried on with the dive after meeting up at the service!

thanx. I was missing some info till now. I'm greenhorn in diving but it does not mean that i'm greenhorn in tech. :) so please future instructors - be precise in what you're saying :)

What I cannot work out is how the first stage "cycles" through inhale/exhale in the story you give. Surely, the moment that you begin to inhale, the first stage "opens" but, as soon as it is "open", it "closes" again because of air pressure differences. If this is the case, does it "vibrate" between the "open" and "closed" states as the diver inhales?

    yes, in reality it vibrates

At 12:40. Seriously ? I just can't believe that a diver would crash his reg into a overhead situation. Enough to dislodge the first stage. Every Instructor tries to throw in their own unique way of teaching. Running off down the road with very rare possibilities of what can go wrong. It's Overkill man. Keep it simple. Your filling up your teaching with extreme highly improbable scenarios...

You are right, but the greater probability of dislodging your o'ring with a yoke valve is the reason Tec divers prefer DIN. There are many scuba divers out there that go way too far with the whole DIR thing, preparing themselves for highly improbable situations. I am not one of them, I am just pointing out what some people believe.
