If you use the Trick / Skill that I used to use when I played racing games with a controller, then it will give you a lot more control and allow you to be more precise and it's a simple thing to do for all controller players !! All you need to do is Push and HOLD Up, on your steering joystick, then simply Roll the Joystick Around left / right (like a steering wheel) continuing to HOLD Up and roll left / right throughout each corner, you obviously don't have to hold Up on straights. This will allow you to hold more precise lines and drive a lot smoother through each corner without having to chop at the steering or continually correct your steering as you can make small adjustments a lot easier with a lot less over or understeer. This is how I used to play all my racing games before I bought a Wheel, Pedals and Racing Rig and it made my lap times faster and my games a lot more enjoyable. I hope my little Tip / Skill helps other people out there.....Enjoy !!

I play and controller and honestly the game is actually alright for me I changed a couple of my settings different from F1 23 but apart from that everything is the same and the game feels fine like I race with quite a few people on wheel and I’m similar pace to them and honestly I don’t think the handling is that bad don’t get me wrong with this handling I struggle more with qualifying Pace then Race but on this game the race pace has been fine and the races have been better probably on this game then any other for me, that’s just some feedback as a controller player for you if you actually read this as you probably won’t . P.s Also another thing is that the Oversteer that everyone talks about is not event that bad well it’s not been effecting me at all really so I think it’s pretty good at the moment

You got me into F1 3 years ago mate. Love your content and I’m hooked. One or two videos then I started watching actual F1 then I bought the game and now saving for a wheel and pedals (got a kid with one on the way so maybe in ten years time 😂) but thanks mate, I retired from playing football from injury and couldn’t fill that void but you my guy, have done a lot for me mentally than you probably realise you do to people. Thank you, keep up the content 👍🏻

Hi guys, I had a problem with traction since f1 23 on wheels. I even keep spinning out in f1 24. I come from PS5 controller and I recently switched to a Thrustmaster T150 wheel. My issue is I cannot judge traction. On PS5, I had the haptic feedback in the throttle trigger. I have no feedback in the wheel whatsoever, and I have major problems with traction only in F1. What feedback setting controls the feedback for traction out of slow corners? What should I be doing to get some feedback so I know when to lift out of pushing the throttle? I saw simagic sells haptic feedback triggers for throttle pedal, but they're not supported on F1 Thank you!

As a 3 year controller player, I thought it was horrible at first too; but once I found the right setup, which was SO hard, its actually really nice. It's hugely setup dependant and feels incredibly different to F123. You can pretty much throw 80% of your skills from that game out the window. Tracks like Singapore and Monaco are so much easier than last year on controller, too. You absolutely fly through those corners. Whether thats good or bad is a matter of opinion. After 2 or 3 days I've got it down.

There is something wrong with the controllers though; that middle delay, I have it and you have it. But I tested it with someone in a league I was in and they did not have it. It's something that started for me in F1 2021, and I don't know why it started. But not everyone has it. That is what made me switch to wheel, because I could not compete properly with it happening.

During beta at Spa. Changing max wheel rotation from 400(default) to 600 was finding me nearly 2 seconds a lap on pad. Over a second in sector 2 alone. Tested it over and over doing ten lap stints in practice session. 9 laps on 400 and 10th at 600 and 9 laps on 600 and 10th on 400. For me 600 is the way

I just briefly tried F1 24 for the first time using the standard car setup presets (no tweaking yet), and im on a TS-XW wheel. I honestly think that the handling is a huge improvement. I don’t really understand the criticism. The car feels more alive and less planted on “invisible rails”. The low speed corner mechanical grip (with less downforce contribution) makes sense and feels convincing. It enables you to rotate the car with the throttle if some more rotation is needed, which was not possible in previous games. Moreover, it is now possible to save the car from a spin because you feel and hear the slippage earlier. I seriously like what I see so far.

The following has been my experience with F1 24 the game so far: I use a Thrustmaster TX wheelbase with a Ferrari SF1000 racing rim and some loadcell tlcm pedals, at 360° steering rotation and with every linearity and boost setup at 0 in game on both PC & Xbox Series X. Though i had to tone down the main ffb to 25 (because at default 70 IIRC, the ffb was a bit too strong and lacked detail as well as having had a weird centering feature in it where the wheel just wanted to stay in the middle inszead of being turned...), whilst increasing rumble strip ffb to 100, off track ffb to 50 and on track ffb to 25, and also the wheel damper to 0. With these settings, the wheel feels quite nice and driveable, with a decent amount of details! PS: One thing i found out whilst driving, is the fact that being very smooth with your steering wheel and always holding the right steering angle for the respective corner and not just merely sharply steer over the limit of what is needed to go around, gives me the highest amount of stability and grip consistently. The fact that this year the cars are more pointy at the front end, massively helps with low speed corners too, imo. Overall, after having done about 20+ hours of driving, i have to say that imo to me it feels as if some people are kinda overexaggerating their troubles with the handling and physics model of F1 24. I saw a few of my mates, who also had massive issues with driving the cars in F1 24 (as many other players have claimed), use absolutely ridiculous car setups (basically trying to copy and paste F1 23's setup into F1 24, instead of learning and understandimg how to develop nee car setups) and nonsensical steering wheel settings (500°+ steering rotation, tampering with the steering linearity etc.). Maybe people are not getting the most out of the game yet and are failing to understand that they have to learn again how to?! Either way, it is true though that this year, especially in low speed corners, the cars have a little bit too much rotation. But this issue can be easily rectified with a good car setup. PPS: Whatever the current situation maybe, according to Codemasters, they are apparently already working on a "fix" to make the handling and physics model more accessible to a wider audience. So there might be some significant changes awaiting us!

I think we all know that this is a "console port" considering the fact the EA in the year 2024 have still NOT IMPLEMENTED MENU NAVIGATION WITH A MOUSE for PC users. And the latest physics play into the hands of controller players who need it dumbed down to MARIO KART levels to be able to go round corners.

It's not true it'd impossible to drive if you had the same steering on a pad that you have on a wheel. I play iRacing regularely with a pad where you have exactly that and it'd be nice, if you at least could configure, if you want that or not in the F1 game. I left behind the F1 series 2 years ago because of that very reason. It's impossible to drive precise with a pad with this input lag...

The game is bad anyway with the handling but my god it get worse on race day. I’ve played over 800 hours of f1 23 and loved and enjoyed the handling on that game. Played 14 on this one and it is bad. Really really bad. The fact they released this game in this state is disappointing to say the least.

Controller also feels like you sliding perma and weird lock ups. This game isn't good for Wheel neither for controller.
