Interesting video. Love Paco's resourcefulness in finding pollen. I believe you can also open buds that are about to bloom to get pollen and to pollenate. Opening a bud early to pollenate can overcome rejection if using perhaps a relative DF pollen. Congratulations Paco on your new hybrid!

Thanks, I think the flower is stunning and have not tried the fruit yet, but I assume there are some ocamponis flavors. I think our plant will fruit this season.

Just starting out...I have a red (not trying to be funny, I have no good sources and started some from store bought fruit...) in a pot, and a white in a pot, both are about 5-6 years old in their pots. I am ready to cut some lengths and stand them up against a post (after finding this channel and figuring that out). Whatever I do, if I just multiply the red specimen only, will one plant need the dragon fruit pollen of another dragon fruit plant? Could I get several plants out of the same potted plant and get them to pollinate each other if I need more than one? OR should I get a the white and red growing vertical and use the white to pollinate the red? Obviously I'm green, I don't know much, they've been sitting in pots for years and I had no idea why they weren't getting anywhere...BUT...I love dragon fruit, I never see any red for sale like I bought and harvested the seed from years ago, and I really want to get started and make this work. I appreciate any and all help getting up and running...my apologies for being such noob. Btw, I live in south georgia, I may try MASSIVE pots with posts to move indoors in winter, we do have the occasional frost, you know? I'm ready to best odds and get things to work.

Plant does grow like a weed! In less than one year my plant has a beautiful canopy and mature ready to get me some fruit! Grows better than other desert kings but it kind of rots a bit! But after that it’s a great plant.
