    Fabulous trip!....Fabulous fish!...Hey, what was the make of your pack rafts?...we used to make our own from Clark Rubber inflatable kayaks which were covered in shade cloth which made them bullet proof! Also, you should invest in some thermal shirts...they'll keep you warm no matter how wet you get - we quickly learnt that on previous pack rafting trips. Have you done the Colo River? Wild country and fabulous bass water... and I've heard of the odd cod being caught there too!

    Hi Andrew! That’s very impressive, you guys must’ve been pioneering the way for modern rafts without realising 😅 so my raft is the gnarwhal and Juan’s raft is the Kokopelli XPD. Both great for our purposes. The colo is a trip I’ve been looking forwards to for a while and hoping to get through there in the summer if weather and river heights permit 🤞 definitely keen to try to catch some colo bass it looks wild through there!

    Hi mate, really glad you enjoyed. Hopefully! Would love to keep producing and growing, also enjoying slowly honing in on quality while keeping it real. I don’t normally specify exact locations on the video mainly out of respect for the local fisherman of the area and understanding that KZread is a global audience, those who’ve been there will recognise and you might be on the right track 🤠

    Great vid guy 👌🏽 With the Pack Raft do you have to inflate before every session? What pump do you use?

  • @YonderingYowies

    @YonderingYowies

    Ай бұрын

    Thanks 🙌 the packrafts come with an inflation bag you use to inflate before each use. Generally we have gear inside the raft so doesn’t take long to get them up, no need for an electric pump, the bags work great.

    Nice one lads! Looks like fun. Why the secrecy with what rivers you're on?

  • @YonderingYowies

    @YonderingYowies

    Ай бұрын

    Hi mate, cheers for the comment, it sure was a bunch of fun! There’s a few reasons I don’t explicitly state the rivers we are on. The foremost is simple and mainly it is out of respect of local fishos. I would get a lot of hate if I started promoting peoples local fishing holes on a stage as big as KZread. Second is that I’m really in it for the adventure, a lot of trips I love the challenge and thought of going somewhere new and full of unknowns. The less info I can find online the more excited it makes me. To be true to myself it just makes sense to not always state location, though a lot of people would recognise and know and a lot of the time I’d be happy to share personally as well 😃

  • @YonderingYowies

    Thanks for the comment, the hat is an akubra and there’s a factory out in Kempsey NSW which supplies many stores around Australia including RM Williams etc, or you can get directly from the factory.
