I know some people despise electronic books, but really a Kindle is so amazing to have for long trips! There's something about being able to have my entire library with me that is so satisfying. I can read my latest book, and if I get bored, switch to another one whenever I want. And the battery life is amazing and so great on long plane rides. Get yourself a Kindle, girl!

I love my kindle for that reason, it saves space! I’m also a night reader so I love the night mode feature so I can read without a reading light and it doesn’t keep my husband up

kindles are great when you have a tiny baby!! I got one when my son was eight months old, and it is soooooo much easier to read while caring for him!

How fun! I was there many years ago. It’s a beautiful place!

⚠️TIP...try and make up day wear where you "mix and mingle" items of clothing, rather than have one whole new set of clothes each day... that will reduce your clothes by at least 50%...You will need this skill once baby is there... because baby will take up 2/3 of one of your big suitcase allowances (and he wont have a suitcase allowance because under 2yrs old kids fly for FREE and have no plane seat! They sit on your lap, This is great because you don't have an extra person to pay for! So use it to still travel the next few years!).

I just got back from a study abroad for 3 months in Italy. (We lived in Montecatini Terme outside of Florence). I LOVED Italy and am so excited you get to go too!

I recommend making a reservation for a museum. I was glad we did. The lines are worse than Six Flags. Over 3 hours wait time. You cannot really just pop in on a whim and I wouldn't want you to miss David or the Sistine Chapel 😊

So cute. When we first started packing for international we took that amount of luggage. Now we do a carry on each for 6 weeks 😉

⚠️TIP.. buy cloth pregnancy tummy support bands.. they will help support, but also keep tummy warm and cover the trouser gap/unbuttoned trousers.

Wow! Italy now? You guys get around! We did the Perillo tour in 2018 . It was a great time. The last time I was in Italy before that was when I was five years old, and we stayed for a month at my grandparents’ house.

Photos from the trip look awesome! Also, your zinnia are thriving. I tried to grow them and leaf mould got them 😢

⚠️TIP.. take 1 book!. You can buy a new at duty free bookshop at airport. Look up pregnancy info online for the 9 days you are away... you can do it in your room on hotel WiFi free of charge. I guess you are flying an American airline.. because that "carry on" was to big and heavy for European airlines!.. hope you don't have any internal European flights! 😅

Have you ever heard of flat packing? You lay everything FLAT and don't fold or use packing cubes. You can fit it SO MUCH more because the weight of the clothing makes space for more. Seems illogical, but it works!
