The mattress pad is a mattress protector. You put it over your mattress topper (before you put your sheet on) to protect you from things like bed bugs & other disgusting things.

A mattress pad gives you extra comfort. The dorm beds are a little hard so therefore you won’t be too uncomfortable! I recommend you getting a mattress protector too!
