Pack of wild dogs catching waterbuck and unborn calve. NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS. Full version

This second sequence shows the successful hunt of a pack of about 25 wild dogs taking down a female waterbuck at Jones's dam in Kruger National park. I posted the first sequence earlier and a further one will follow showing a vulture implosion. This pack of wild dogs first tried to catch a female waterbuck who placed her behind in a bush and kept the pack at bay until they lost interest and went looking for easier prey. On both occasions the waterback raced down to Jones's dam, probably hoping to find water to take refuse in. The second victim tried the same but she was not so lucky and both she and her unborn calf was taken down and devoured in a very short time, all part of nature on a daily basis in Kruger National park. Please subscribe to my channel where I will show you nature at its best and sometimes worst over the coming months.

That's not how it works. Usually prey animals once they're wounded enter a sort of trancelike state, similar to hypnosis, where their blood pressure drops and they stop feeling pain. That's what's happening here after she stops bleating. No pain here.

I donk know. There Are philosophical theories that Poset, that in order to feel anything, pleasure or pain, in the way we humans feel, you require a type of awareness called meta-awareness. First order awareness is to feel the pain. Second order awareness is to be aware of the fact that you are aware. In the absence of this 2nd order awareness , there isn't any real pleasure or pain, at least not in the same way we humans feel it. I hope these philosophers are right!

It’s interesting to see that the wild dogs have some of their pack stay on the look out. If a lion pride where to show up. They would be screwed if they didn’t have any lookouts.

there is a reason why they have an 80% success kill rate and have thrived in one of the most wild and rugged places on earth alongside Lions, Hyenas and Leopards.. Intelligence and numbers.. and stamina to chase prey until they drop..
