This song is about knowing that I should help myself and being to lazy to do anything about it. Even beckoning for a significant other to be with me so I can pacify my need for love not actually do the work and fulfill that need naturally. This is the most relatable song I’ve heard in a long time. “I’m too scared to be happy, I’m too damn stubborn for pain, so I sacrifice the good things to make everyday the same” sums up a lot of life since Covid. Much of it an addiction to KZread to the point that my eyesight is starting to be affected from staring at a phone all day. Yet all I need to do to break the cycle is walk out the door of my apartment. So thanks Zack for putting this on Spotify, then I can still listen even when I’m not too scared to be happy 🙂
