I think it should be the reverse. Give them one shot to do a dumb future spin worth 10 points and make the other rounds the ‘style’ round. I’d much rather watch that than this helicopter aerials bs.

Yeah every time Birk jumped you couldn't see anything. It was very annoying (he's my fav skier)

Great commentating by Tom Wallisch, as always!

Alex did a perfect Zero spin, a sw 1260 pretzel (!!) 180 and a sw tailbutter 1800. Thats two never been done tricks, both quite different from what everyone else is doing... Also the execution was flawless. I think that should have at least slightly won over two insane, but less creative big spins.

Its the danger of the big spins, Pod had a ton of style with those spins, they were super fast, and still held the grab. A hall should have matched his big spin trick after he already landed the Tail but 18 twice.

Scoring seems so random sometimes....

Yeah, this year was a little more noticeable than usual. Sometimes I have a feeling they keep bumping scores just to shake up the leaderboard... But I doubt that's the case.

Troy won fair and square, landed on the last blue line for his 3 scores. That 2160 was a closer for sure!

So refreshing to hear someone say that they just wanted to win! I’m all for chillin with da dudes, but to do that no need to huck yourself 50 meters spinning 5 times risking serious injury.

Sick concept but at some point they need to stop changing the format every year. 33 for Birk was tough to see even if the grab on it wasn't perfect. Missed Edjoy, Matej, and of course Henrik in the big air not the same wo him bringing out some ungodly axis

honestly knowing what Pod did in the last run, to show his diversity and technicality, A hall should have thrown his most monsterous spin trick just to prove, hey I got all the style in the world, and I can still spin to win. would have won him the gold. and I am pretty sure he knew he messed up going for that same trick 3 times in a row. knowing he wouldnt improve it without the speed.

Alex didn't go for the same trick 3 times. The first one of what you mean was a sw tb 14, not an 18. He stepped it up to an 18 and then wanted to just clean it up in the last round to get the 1 point more needed to win. Also at that level it would be quite unwise to just spin away without preparation....

Cool comp idea but I think I’m good with never seeing it again. 2022 and 2023 were amazing with 6 runs each and the quick action Really elevated the energy and gave us more tricks. I appreciate the attempt to give creativity more power but this is just not the way

In my opinion, they could keep the style element but add 5 more usual runs in stead of 4 and not have a countdown just set 5 runs

7 pionts for dub 10 blunt in style category is crazy to me when you have so many harder grabs and creativity opportunities. 5 is max i would give to him. The style category is cool idea but throwing 10s and dubs and not even hold the grab all the way... Freesking is becomnig aerials 👎

Style should be the only round they do. The other two were almost pointless with the excessive spins, almost all style is lost as it becomes a contest on who can spin the most. Really lame.

I want to know if you can understand - that is, at least correctly name - the tricks he did. Both of his big tricks have never been done, and there is little doubt very few people could also do them, nevermind consistently.

That was almost the perfect choice for a style trick in my eyes. Very different, very stylish.

Poor filming, poor format, poor judging, poor grabs and style, so many missed grabs, the style tricks being mostly weak and the rest just aerials with tap-grabs. Xgames, I'm out. Last year
