The best part is the spider catching the mosquito and your devilishly "yes!" reaction. Lol!

Definitely an amazing shot. I had to take screen capture of the moment.
The editing that went into this! Every second was just phenomenal to watch. Beautiful, fantastic! And then you made it. The fires, the floods, the snow, the mosquitos, the broken toe nails...just incredible to watch. My husband watched earlier last week and said this was a must watch. So true. You are awesome! -Alison
Lol!! One of my favorite quotes from you ever “ maybe it won’t be so dang gone windy if they’d turn these fans off!” Thank you for sharing your beautiful, amazing trek again Dixie! Happy Trails! ❤️⛰🏜

Very early on I suggested she get into motivational speaking as she is a compelling story teller. She has had some talks which is good.

What...she’s a woman? I didn’t notice...I just saw a total badass human!!!! You are an inspiration to all of us....I would love to be on the trail on day see you out there...that would mean I was doing something almost as badass as you...my luck i would run into you at a REI buying a buckle 😂
your music choices fit the stunning scenery: excellent summary of a gorgeous thru hike!
I get all misty eyed every time I see a thru hiker tag the end of a long journey. It's so damn amazing! Your awesome! 😉👍🏼💗👣

Was so cool watching this after completing it a few weeks ago. This year was so different. I jumped up ahead from Warner to Wrightwood then to Kennedy Meadows, back down to Warner, and went Wrightwood and back up to Kennedy. Can ya tell I wanted to miss the snow on San Jacinto? But what was so weird was seeing all your shots of the Sierra. There were so few people this year many of the passes I did alone. When I first jumped up to Wrightwood I spent the next full month without seeing another hiker (day or thru). It was strange but amazing. Felt like what the trail probably felt like back in the '70s. CDT next year to work on my Triple Crown. (crossing fingers) I still give you credit for making this hiking lifestyle possible for me. That tip about renting your place out made all this possible. Much love, -Too Clean
I just love you Dixie. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures. This documentary showed us your strength, resilience, and love for nature. I turn this on our tv @ home and enjoy every minute with my 12yr old, 7yr old and 5yr old. You’ve inspired us to explore the outdoors more❤️
Having watched all of the vids from your triple crown hikes, I have to say that the PCT, for me, was the most evocative of the power and soaring majesty of nature, especially in the West. From scorching, sweaty deserts to rising, snowy ridgelines, and everything in between, it was breathtaking, gorgeous, and humbling to behold on video. It must have been that multiplied by orders of magnitude for you and the others who made the trek. Nicely done, Dixie. I tip my Stetson in your general direction. Be well, and stay safe out there. Happy Trails.
This brings back the fear I felt watching you at that raging creek the first time, and the relief and gratitude I felt when the guys came along and adopted you.
The way you put this together, I was moved to tears. I can't even imagine what it must have been like putting this together, looking back on the memories of the actual events.
love seeing these trails again through your eyes. the Sierra's were crazy that year. stay safe and sorry too hear about your family member. hugs your way.
Thank you for doing these 10 min reruns...they have been fabulous! I watch and rewatch everything of yours many times. 🐾🐾💕🥾🥾
no matter how many other PCT youtube videos - I keep coming back to this one. If I ever do the PCT (I hope I do) would be because of your trail.
Watching your full series was what got me fired up on the PCT. Thanks for posting this now. It's so easy to get discouraged amid the pandemic and this helps keep the fire lit. Thanks Dixie!
Your videos are just perfect. Thank you, Dixie. You're a true gem to the backpacker world.
Yes, I remember every post. FIRE AND ICE Amazing journey. Well done Dixie. I have enjoyed your 10 minute series of the major trails
Just amazing! I had my first backpacking experience this year and it was life changing. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us!
Absolutely beautiful! I really believe this is your best video! I was drawn into the whole experience as if I were there. Thank you for this!
The PCT is the long distance thru hike trail that most appeals to me--so super glad you posted this 10 min summary video. Thanks Dixie 😃

@Old Toby I have actually considered hiking it South Bound. I know water scarcity in the desert can be greater on a SOBO journey and I wonder if fire closures could be more of an issue since I'd be starting later in the year.
Wow - congratulations. And thanks for sharing a little of the journey with us. Your adventure here was epic and took a lot of inner strength to see through from end to end. Outstanding.
Hacía mucho que no te veía. Este confinamiento se está haciendo interminable. Me voy a volver loco. Este vídeo me ha dado un par de "nitros". Muchas gracias por seguir compartiendo vídeos
Dixie, this is a masterful video. I’m on the verge of tears thinking of my own PCT adventures. Thank you for creating this piece of art. “The Motor” - Class yet to be determined
Excellent edit! The music was really epic, gave me chills!
One of my favorite "PCT in XX Minutes" videos! Well done and congratulations on conquering the PCT.
One of the best PCT videos out there, no doubt
This actually made me cry. ❤️
You are and absolute genius with a camera. Thank you so vary much for taking us along on your adventures. You are truly an inspiration.
You are such an inspiration Miss Dixie! I'm so thankful for your hard work and dedication!
Thanks for posting these videos. They have been amazing
L9ve this condensed version. Cool hike i hope to do someday.
LOVE the line about turning the fans off to stop the wind!
What an incredible journey, I'm so happy for you! And I love your videos, I've watch the lot I think. Thanks for inspiring me to get into hiking!
I didn't think it'd be possible to recreate the epic nature of this thru hike in a 10 minute fly-by, but damn girl... you hit it out of the park! Even nailing the timing of the track climax with your hand touching the northern terminus marker. Seriously epic. Bravo!
Dang, I didn’t want this one to end. Good job and Congratulations.
Really enjoyed watching this. You have been hit hard by different difficulties in 2020, warm wishes to you during this difficult period.
Awewome 10 minute summary of my favorite trail!
Absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much for posting your adventures and inspiring all of us during these crazy times!!!
The pct was my favorite thru hike you done, because you spent more time alone and you gave us your thoughts. That I enjoyed. I also like how the terrain changed.

Great for you and thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Inspiring and so motivated, it makes me try to take the leap
I watched your whole PCT series before my 2019 thru hike and now watching this has brought back so many memories for me. I don't know if you can recall but I bumped into you on the trail and in Packwood :)

I really like how you film everything with curiosity on that trip and enjoyed your humor.
I do always enjoy your trail summaries ^^ I hope I can get out there next spring
Wow! What a great experience and an awesome video! Thanks for sharing
This one hell of a fantastic video
Have been watching since the early days (the begining) of the AT and with all my years of camping I have decided to do the AT ... Thank you
Dixie--a wonderful summary of your trip! I had forgotten: 1) that there was so much Sierra snow that year; 2) that the fires interrupted your trip in Oregon (but I remember now your video of you and your Mom hiking the missing part; and 3) that it dumped snow on you, and rain, during your Washington stretch! Way to hang in there! You are the Queen of the trail!
Love your filming style and the PCT looks so beautiful. We were able to explore a very small portion of it last year. The change in topography is incredible. - Andrew
Thank you for sharing your epic journey! This was very inspiring, especially when we can all relate to meeting people along the way who would push us or hold us back from reaching our goals. We have to overcome those challenges and do it for ourselves.
Such good editing to get that much of a journey into 10 minutes and still feel it. Wow. Out here in the White Mountains wishing I was on the PCT.
Great video!! I really enjoyed watching this
It was just as good this time. Ur photography is creative & beautiful.
This is super bad assery right here. Well done!
I absolutely love this, Dix
I'm so proud of you and the power you have given, the seeds you are planting!! Bravo!👏👏👏
Incredible journey all around. Loved it. Definitely makes me jealous and want to head back out west. The spider catching the mosquito moment was incredible.

Thank you for this post and sorry for your loss. But wishing you success on the Pinhoti Trail.
I love the PCT videos cuz I’ve lived my entire life in the shadow of it snd Hines bits and pieces of it over the years. Feels like home eh eh n I see those vlogs. You certainly picked a crazy hard year. Record snow snd horrid fires.
Hey Dixie! My names Bryan I am currently traveling the country in a self built camper inspired almost completely by you and your videos .. I think you are an amazing person plain and simple ..but honestly this is the BEST video you've made so far after watching for over a year .. and cant wait to see what and where youll come up with next ! I'd love to run into you one day although it's highly improbable but keep doin what you're doin and love ya !!
Really cool and inspiring video!
Love this! I was elated at the end like I was finishing thre trail!
I get emotional every time I watch in my heart that was a hex of a challenge but you did it congrats again on your perseverance
Stunning videography!
Well done! This video is awesome! The video captured the beauty of nature and the majesty of nature that we must respect. Congratulations to you on accomplishing this journey, and may you continue to achieve your dreams!
Much love and respect, You are amazing, and inspiring!
Love the organ music in the background! Reminds me of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue.
You really do make some amazing hiking content Dixie 🙏
Great summary Dixie! 💝
YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO AWESOME.
Amazing. Thank you.
Great video thanks Dixie
Fantastic! Thank you for the inspiration!!
Excellent video and a very good soundtrack - thank you for sharing!
I really enjoyed that. Thank you.
This is an awesome video. I hope one day I will be able to experience the PCT. Absolutely incredible.
Oh this is such an excellent video, thanks! Also, that moment you spoke about other people's opinions.... YES! :) People are just tuned into that, avoid any risk, don't start something that seems too hard, etc. I really find that both logical, but also annooooying. Like you said indeed, you'll never get anywhere that way.
Fun to watch. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! Fabulous dahling absolutely fabulous!
So inspirational!! I'd love to do this goal...but so much planning. Your Vids are helping!
Wow, beautiful! Great video thanks for sharing this. It seems impossible and you make it look fun 🤩 Incredible
The ten minute series are turning out to be true works of art...beautiful.
Great vid!
Awesome awesome. Thank you for making this video. Inspiring.
So cool. Glad you made it safely. The streams in the Sierras are no joke, but worth it.
I can't wait!!!! #PCT2021 🤍
Good for you! What an accomplishment! Well done.
Thanks for the video
Well, I never got a chance to walk the entire trail. But in 1980 I worked on the trail, doing the archaeology clearances for it, between the Southern Sequoias, to the Walker pass area. I lived on the trail for 45 days, living in a tent and walking along it. As I currently live in Ridgecrest I meet a lot of the hikers who come down to do laundry and resupply themselves. I enjoy talking to the hikers. As I said, I would love to hike some of the trail, but unfortunately being nearly 70 years old with a bad back, I cannot really make it anymore. So thanks for the video.
I would love to just quit everything and hit a trail. Caught up in the rat race and the rats are winning. Thank you for your videos. Showing us what life should be like.
