I love this song. I can just picture it being played in the 17th century and everyone is being courted in an open courtyard during the spring time

What a wonderful , sensitive, and moving performance, starting with the perfect tempo. The harpsichord is exceptional as well, with a remarkably full and sustained tone. Many thanks!

You and Donald are doing a great service by building harpsichords and playing a variety of music written for them. Many people will get to like the different composers. Also, this music was meant for the home before it went to the concert hall. Your music room is the perfect place for all this.....Richard

I would love to have a harpsichord but to be fair my Yamaha keyboard has a harpsichord setting. I love improvising baroque.

Beautifully played. I feel some variety in the tempo of the variations might be appropriate. Some of them are clearly more bravura than others. Maintaining the same stately tempo throughout makes it less dramatic. That aside, a very clean, enjoyable performance.

Pachelbel was oddly ahead of his time, when you listen to this. Get's a lot less love than he deserves, despite the Canon.

technically it's not Pachelbel but Jean-François Paillard who reorchestrated the canon and whose version became famous in the 1970's ):

Today I listened to this wonderful piece again plus the one about the dompe. I am trying to describe music with repeating motives as a way to govern things to a friend who is not a musician but an artist. I may send the dompe piece to her. Anyway, always a pleasure to hear you playing so beautifully!
