Dawson loved the idea of joey. Pacey really saw joey and loved her for everything she was.

except Joey treated Pacey like an option instead of a priority. Even at the end there, she was super infatuated with that dude at the bar pretending to be a student. Dawson didn't deserve Joey and Pacey deserved better.

no dawson saw joey for her she was. pacey love the IDEA of joey, even the way he discribe her was not a real person.

yes, pacey she a goddoss, sorry that not someone who see them for who she is.
Damn, only just realised that when Pacey starts talking about Joey the bars fall out of focus, but come back into sharp focus when he talks about not being able to have her. What a crazy metaphor for how he feels caged by the situation. And when Doug encourages him to pursue the butterflies the bars fall out of focus again. Impressive work by the camera-person.

Even Doug knew it too when he saw Joey riding in her car catching if she was speeding
Doug’s face as Pacey was describing the way all hell would break loose. Nodding along pretending to understand why Pacey was freaking out.

I hated how Doug treated Pacey all throughout this show but this was a nice scene between the two
